You have to look up a video of finneas and billie messing around singing off to the races while recording HMHAS and finneas finding out he's been singing the wrong lyrics - it makes me laugh every time

ultraviolence is my favorite lana album (its rock influenced with heavy electric guitar i love it). i dont think she’s ever had a bad era. all of them are so different and bc of that her fandom is so divided on which album is their favorite. like nobody can sit and agree on 1 album being the best 😭🤣

You guys should react to the paradise edition too! It’s got 12 extra tracks (including 3 off of the regular deluxe version). They are amazing, specially Ride, that song alone made me a Lana stan back in 2012.

i totally get your point lol but i UNIRONICALLY love this performance. I just assumed that since it is still publicly available on SNL's youtube channel, it was okay to link. I didn't know that Lana explicitly mentioned it ever. My bad!!!

I remember listening to Carmen back in 2012 on Tumblr for the first time and be completed shocked by Lana's voicr and lyrics. It was a sublimr experience lol. To this day BTD remains as my favorite album from her and I'm reslly glad you guys enjoyed this. Hope you check out in the future the deluxe tracks and Paradise EP :)

Fabolous did a mixtape series based on Summertime Sadness called Summertime Shootout, the first one is probably my favorite mix tape of all time. But the 2nd and 3rd are also so great. I would love a Summertime Shootout 1 reaction vid! It’s on Apple Music (probably Spotify too)

This is my second favorite Lana album, after Honeymoon! I’m so glad you guys liked it - Lana really was ahead of her time and you can tell she influenced a lot of newer artists. Born To Die is such a perfect album, and I would recommend listening to the Paradise Edition for more excellent tracks! Can’t wait to see where y’all go next on your Lana journey lol

oh no, don't link the performance she admits was bad and everybody is so mean about in the comments saying she sounds like 30 different people including an old man 😭 poor girl. I agree with your other points though 😅

There are three more songs for "Born to Die (deluxe version)": Without You, Lolita, Lucky Ones. "Paradise" is a nine-track EP after the release of "Born to Die," and it was reissued along with the Born to Die tracks. The lead single/first track off of "Paradise" is titled "Ride." And its MV is a short short film featuring a monologue and I think it really captures the imagery Mike mentioned during Million Dollar Man. And there is literally a music short film featuring three other tracks off of "Paradise."
For her live vocals, it was really hit or miss early in her career hahaha.
Her best live performance from BTD era (from the top of my head) is her cover of Heart-Shaped Box. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPIJk0MKSWM
And she went on SNL during this album rollout as well. And it remained her only time on SNL and she rarely went on live TV since, if any. This is the infamous Blue Jeans performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I62I3r2f-8
This performance got her so much hate, but I say THIS IS ICONIC and she truly showed people ✨RANGE✨. Through this one performance, you get a full-album experience of her versatile and unpredictable vocals.
But yeah, stage freight sucks lol
Her discography is so worth listening through. Video Games/BTD was truly a pop culture moment. Its influences on pop/alternative music were huge and almost undeniable. The first four album (BTD, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, and L4L) all have very distinctive sounds. And from NFR (her best album imo), I feel like Lana finally found her most comfortable voice and way of storytelling/songwriting. The poet inside her really shines through. Speaking of, she also has a book, a poetry collection, titled "Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass," with a spoken word album featuring Jack Antonoff's music.
LOVE THE REACTION! Can't wait for more!!!
