I knew dad would love the deluxe tracks! I know it’s not Christmas but you all should listen to Fruitcake (her Christmas album) it’s absolutely beautiful and showcases so much of her voice and abilities 🤍

2024-03-28 02:36:21 +0000 UTCim not sure if someone has commented about this yet, but i completely get the response to all because i liked a boy. it's maybe my one of my least favorites from sabrina sonically, but the 'puppy love' lyrics were fully intentional because the point of the song was to emphasise how innocent a relationship was that she received mass hate for - death threats, the media branding her as a homewrecker etc etc. it was deliberately written to sound childlike!! the thin mint dealer, the boombox, the cuddling on trampolines - "it was all so innocent." i won't drop all the extensive lore here but there is quite a bit haha.. it involved olivia rodrigo & her ex - "rebound getting 'round stealing from the young" but all the drama aside, i've followed sabrinas music since about 2014, i used to be a hardcore stan so im incredibly familiar with all 5 of her projects. i know that her 3rd and 4th sister albums have already been recommended (singular act I and II) but i would highly recommend EVOLution first. I think she was around 15/16 at the time of writing and personally i think the lyrics are a slightly more interesting than this album, the production too!! which is funny considering she was so much younger, but also a much smaller artist and much less mainstream. even her range is soo much wider (i think she's trying to sound more soft and delicate recently) although i adore the song emails i cant send and think it is utterly heartbreaking, the metaphor and imagery on EVOLution is great! and it's an album that is virtually forgotten today. ok im done with the ramblings now - thanks so much for giving her music a chance <3

Her and Joshua dated briefly after him and Olivia broke up and when Olivia released driver's license EVERYONE started to get into their business and were sending both Sabrina and Joshua death threats (Joshua ended up in the hospital with septic shock and heart failure with 13% chance of survival because of the stress the situation caused and he was scared to go anywhere for months). He also put out an EP explaining his side (Crisis, Secrets and Set me Free).

She’s so fucking funny, and when I listen to this album back I enjoy it more because I hear her humor in her songs. I really feel like she’s the next big thing, she really is just genuinely herself and has her own style. She did a Christmas remix of nonsense and it’s hilarious.
