The World Of Quests Of Change: Part Two (Alpha 0.2)

In addition to being home to a wide range of monsters, the world of Quests of Change is home to various key figures that have a significant influence on particular locations across the realm. These figures can serve differing roles depending on where an adventure may take a party, with the potential roles for these figures including allies, rivals, patrons, quest givers, or even antagonists. Regardless of the role these figures may serve, they have a significant influence on the various regions of the Realm of Mortals.

Cybil the Flame Fist

Ruler of Centrilia. "Squirrel" Beastfolk Spell-Fist

The current guild leader of Centrilia's adventurer league, Cybil the Flame Fist, is a legendary Spell-Fist, serving as the current acting head of the Council of Guilds. Despite being perhaps the most influential figure of one of the Realm of Mortal's largest nations, Cybil loathes politics and prefers to take a proactive role in not just her own guild, but other guilds as well. She is known for helping new and veteran adventurers find assignments fitting for their skill level while helping to arrange agreements between guilds that equally benefit all parties involved.

For those looking to join an adventuring party or find leads for potential quests to help those in need, Cybil the Flame Fist is always willing to lend a helping, hand (or fist).

Regarded for her spunk, resolve, quick-to-act nature, (and short temper), this "Squirrel" Beastfolk is notably willing to discuss nearly any topic with anyone she encounters, treating all she meets with an incredibly casual demeanor. The only topic Cybil will refuse to discuss is her own origin and how she's the only member of a seemingly nonexistent subrace of Beastfolk,  known only by herself and her close friend and former traveling companion, Lorelei Lumina.

Tarviel, of the First Tree

Ruler of Talizan. Dryad Guru

Tarviel, of the First Tree is among the oldest living beings within the Realm of Mortals save for demi-gods, dragons, and ancient fairies, and is a Dryad who serves as the ruler of the country of Talizan. Tarviel's age provides him with a distinct perspective on the world, caring less about individuals and their actions in given moments, and instead focusing on groups and their impacts on decades and centuries.

Tarviel is particularly in tune with the country of Talizan, Tarviel is attuned with every Plant within the country, allowing him access to a substantial degree of the goings on within this land. However, due to this connection, Tarviel's health directly correlates with the current status of the land itself. If the counrty suffers, he grows ill and appeared elderly and haggard, and when it prospers, he appears vibrant, young, and lively.

Despite his age, perspective, and power, Tarviel is rather soft-spoken and kind. He is incredibly fond of mortals as a whole, though he views angels and demons alike as threats to the Realm of Mortals due to the unnatural influence they provide.

Lorelei Lumina

Ruler of Sol. Solys Elf Guardian Angel

For those looking to reverse unwanted transformations and corrupting effects, Lorelei Lumina may be the most helpful individuals one could seeks out. This golden-haired Solys Elf is a Guardian Angel that currently serves as the Archbishop of the Church of Purification in the country of Sol.

Several decades ago, Lorelei was an upbeat priestess that traveled the Realm of Mortals alongside Cybil the Flame Fist, garnering reputations as two of the most powerful adventurers alive. Though always well intentioned, after a journey into the Realm of Corruption and a brief encounter with the Perverter of Form, Lorelei's newfound drive to purge corruption from the realm put an end to her adventuring days, driving her into the position of Archbishop.

Though well-intentioned, Lorelei Lumina's ambition to destroy sources of corruption is akin to that of a zealot, and she views transformations not caused by angels to be problems needing to be solved. In her pursuit of divine purification, this has actually gained the ability to temporarily assume the form of an Angel herself.

Clemetis

Ruler of Luné. Lunys Elf Fate-Twister

The most influential mortal within the nation of Luné, Clemetis views corruption and transformation as a means to an end and tools to be exploited for power. Though Clemetis was born a Lunys Elf, one would never know from looking at her due to her sizable serpentine body, massive bat-like wings, sizable claws, and durable, silvery skin. Clemetis has intentionally subjected herself to so many transformative effects that she's built up a magical resistance, allowing her to choose whether or not she wishes to be affected by a given source of transformative magic.

Though she doesn't hold any official position, each of Luné's various crime families report to this arrogant and pretentious being.

No form of debauchery is too hedonistic for Clemetis, who will often throw massive elaborate galas, inviting adventurers, artists, and key figures of the criminal underground who may have caught her attention. Though Clemetis herself may innitially seem absent from these affairs, for those that truly catch her eye, they may be invited to the real party in Luné's undercity, showcasing and creating her own lewd and twisted art.

On the surface of Luné, Clemetis is known as an unseen patron of the arts, owning many of the most prestigious museums in the country though never appearing in the public eye. Though Clemetis may fund these museums, she is much more fond of her private collections, made up of lewd living statues of her petrified victims, stuck in eternal moments of climax.
