Saturday Ramble #22

So... what's been going on?

I've been radio silent and not been doing these Saturday Rambles consistently and I'm here to talk about EVERYTHING. It's been a lot.

Stalker

Some of you may already know about this one, and honestly this guy doesn't deserve the attention I'm giving to him right now but ok, I feel like it has to be clarified. Since mid January there's been a guy stalking me, sending me messages threatening very serious stuff and whatnot, I don't care about internet trolls in general but i'd lie if I told you that this guy hasn't taken some of my mental battery. Dealing with stalkers is shitty. But anyways, there's not much that I can do but block/report him everywhere.

Work

My work at Intel has shifted a little bit the last months and it's been project to project back to back, so I haven't had as much free time as I'd like. But well, I bought myself an Ipad so I can work on drawings on small free times everywhere and that brings me to the next point.

Clip Studio Paint

I've been working my whole life with either traditional methods of art or CS Photoshop, and now that I work on the ipad, I am not willing to be paying that much money for a photoshop license, (fuck adobe) so I've been learning Clip Studio Paint. This far it's been really cool, the pencil tool is godlike and I feel like that meme from shrek raising his hand glowing. Yeah. I'm unstoppable. But yeah I wanted to let you know that art has been slow because I'm relearning the tools, but it won't take long until we're back at constant posting.

Terraza

I usually don't post about more personal stuff but I feel like you guys deserve to know. All I want is to get echonomical freedom in order to be able to work fulltime in storytelling. That's all I want. So I've been swinging between projects to make some buck from here to there, and one of those is a terraza owned by my dad. I'm helping him remodel it and the plan WAS to rent it for events and get some cash flow there. I emphasize on WAS because my dad is a very... interesting person and he operates in ways no one can predict, that sometimes mean spontaneously just cancelling the whole project because my dad wants to use the terraza to store products, or spontaneously going to paint walls early morning... The wole point on telling you guys about this is that, yeah, This too is taking some part of my time and mental batteries.

Partner

So... Yeah...

I got a boyfriend :3 And between all the the turmoil that's been happening lately, he's been the sun between the storm. Lo quiero muchisimo. and he's been helping toning down the stress. And yeah, that takes some of my time too. but it's worth every second.

Prints

The woman who I work with to get the prints done has been dealing with some stuff, so I've been delaying this reward a little, she's now fine and I'll get new prints next week. I'll send January prints as soon as I get the new prints and I'll send a second batch at the end of February. Also It is of my knowledge that some prints arrived cramped and that is totally my fault, I learned a new method to pack those thight and secure to avoid wrinkles for next deliveries, so I'll send two prints the next time to compensate the cramped ones. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

The Case of the Spider

You guys have to check it out, it's very good read and It's set in Aposdale.

There are other projects that are work in progress and seeing this makes my heart melt, this is what I live for. Storytelling is so beautiful man... 

I've been thinking on Register Aposdale with a Creative Commons license as a colaborative project, free to use for anyone who's willing to write a story there and even publish if wanted. Something like how the SCP works.

That's near future plan so I'll update on how that goes.

Conventions

Just right now, Eurofurence has announced that they planned to move the venues to Hamburg, and I'm arranging with airlines so I can make it there. hopefully it works out. But for the mean time this is the list of conventions I'm planning to go this year:

Anthro Weekend Utah July 14-16

DenFur August 18th - 20th

Megaplex September 15th -17th

Confuror October 26th - 29th

BLFC October 30th - November 2nd

Midwest FurFest November 30th - December 3rd
