Progress Report

Things are starting to look promising. The 0.33 image folder contains 181 images right now. That's not counting the 91 renders I did for the animation I've spoken about before. In fact, I realized this week that I'm getting close to finalizing the images needed for the story content in this version.

That's why I decided to start writing and coding it, at last. Writing those first words always fills me with trepidation, and this time is no different. There is a lot at stake here, both for the game and for our hero. Still, it's all about taking those slow, steady steps and never faltering or giving up.

As you may have noticed in the previous update, the weather has turned gloomy in the game on the coronation day. This means that I had to render several well-known environments under entirely different weather conditions. It's kind of refreshing. For the past three years, almost every image I have made for this game has featured bright summer sunlight, with the occasional nightly excursion. Gloomy, overcast weather makes for a nice change of pace, and it brings out a kind of atmosphere that LLtP hasn't had before. Lessons to bring along for my next game, I suppose.

I have to admit that I'm really looking forward to being done with 0.33. It's the last part of the story's climax, and as such, I have had to treat every aspect of it with the utmost care. From the next version and out, I can lower my shoulders a little and just make stuff again without planning it out so exactly. It's all going to get more straightforward from here on out, thankfully.

That's it for this week. I'm probably going to send a little tease in the way of grandmaster backers soon, so stay tuned for that.

Until next time!

No, that's not until 0.34.

In this next update are we gonna choose who we end up with? Nell, Primrose, etc.?

Shadowninja27

Not immediately, but yeah, it's on the list of things to add later .

I'm assuming once all the heavy lifting is done, we'll get to do what yon fomorian challenged us to back when... :) and not just with that pair...?
