Long Live the Princess - Version 0.25.0

Update: Added the latest walkthrough by WTFosaurus.

Long Live the Princess version 0.25.0 is now available for download.

Welcome to the beginning of our dedicated push towards the endgame! Starting this month, the focus is almost exclusively on putting all the necessary pieces in place so that we can move onto the endgame and reach the climax of the story. At that point, we can go back and add more scenes and implement New Game Plus. Don't expect all the relationships or every minor storyline (or even every ability. Perversity, I'm looking at you) to be done by the time we reach the endgame. The idea is to get only the most essential characters where they need to be before we move on, not to flesh them out completely. Not yet, anyway.

Specifically, this month is the first half of the Nell/Samarra/Fairy Queen push. If everything goes according to plan, all three of those girls should be ready for the endgame after next month. Any missing content for them after that can be considered non-essential, though it will be added later.

This update features a rather unusual puzzle. I'm not sure how well it works, so I'd love to hear your feedback on it and what, if anything, I can do to improve it. Remember, if you're not getting anywhere with the puzzle, it's very likely that you don't have all the information you need yet. Go explore for a while. Odds are you'll know when you're ready, even if the game doesn't explicitly tell you.

Enjoy!

sometimes we need to ask before we can accomplish; weird but true.

Well didnt need that, I literally just now got that puzzle sorted! XD

There is a link to a walkthrough on the front page of this Patreon. It's a few versions outdated though, but it should get you through the part you're stuck at, at the very least.

Hey, Im pretty new and I'd like to ask if there is some kind of walkthrough? Im stuck at finding clue about family, Im not sure Im that dumb or its that hard :D

Talk to Samarra at the training grounds.

Can you give us a hint what the heck we need to do to "impress" Samara enough to tell us the whole story? As far as I know, I did everything at every location available to me. Nell's my girlfriend, sister and Callie are my lovers.

*tense exhale* This update really is something holy fuck. What a turn of events. I absolutely cannot wait until the next update. This is building up to something amazing, I can tell.

Sounds like your save might be corrupted, then. I don't think there's anything I can do to help you with that, especially since I have no idea what might have caused the corruption. It could be anything from an obscure Ren'py bug to a problem with your HD or... well, just about anything.

if i start a new game work fine it only crash's when i try to use my saves. just before this error i installed and moved my saves over to the up date. when i try to ignore i get I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. That looks like it might be a bug within Ren'py itself. Something goes wrong when it tries to present the home menu when progressing to the afternoon action, but that menu hasn't changed at all since Evelyn's big update. Have you tried again? Could you also try downloading the game again to see if maybe something got corrupted in your install? By the way, what did you do just before this error occurred? Can you choose to ignore the error and continue?

I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it. :)

Wow. This was the best update you've had in a while. And I see what you mean about the update ending in a cliffhanger. Sucks we've got to wait a whole month to see where it goes next, but I am eagerly anticipating the next update.
