2023-08-08 08:33:44 +0000 UTC12:36 When it comes to survival shows, I feel like for most of the companies and trainees who participate, getting in to the final group isn't always the main goal. Getting on the show gives the trainees exposure, helps them gain fans, and gives them opportunities to be on stage and learn from industry mentors/teachers that they otherwise may not get. Especially for smaller named companies, it's a good place to get their name and their trainees out there. Because unfortunately, the industry is oversaturated and competition is tough when it comes to new groups debuting. So people may hear about a new group coming from a company like JYP, Starship, or even Cube, but groups coming from a startup company like RedStart Ent may not be on people's radar since it's not a known company. But Redstart having some of their trainees go on the show, even if the guys didn't make the final line up, there's now fans waiting for these guys to debut.

2023-08-07 17:51:33 +0000 UTCdon't worry about Sung Hanbin, every members have built BIG fandom even the other 9 trainees who did not debut in the final lineup have a looott of fans because they are all so talented that they shine regardless of their place + Sung Hanbin is genuinely very sweet and selfless. I understand your worries and a lot of people had the same i think. I don't think you know that but Hanbin received a LOT of hate after pushing Jay from the main vocal part, and a lot of people underestimated him because they thought Hanbin wasn't as good as Jay so he didn't deserve it.

2023-08-03 02:30:53 +0000 UTCI'm so excited that you're nearly at the finish line of this show. Rewatching with you has been a blast! I hope you'll enjoy the finale, aside from the fact that it took them whole ass 5 business days to announce the line-up (the wait was painful watching it live lmao), finale was great content. I would understand skipping (or speeding up) the downtime, if possible, just watching the performances, announcement and thank-you speeches (there are some really great ones). The debut group is perfect (imho obv - bought 6 albums) :) Spoiler free thought - What you said about Hanbin shining so brightly and potentially overshadowing others if he's in the idol group... I think it's an attitude you have to have in a survival show. Ultimately you have to make yourself a main character as much as possible to get voters. He's also been heavily favored by BP filming crew (fully deserved!) so his charms were always "extra visible" to us as an audience. I wouldn't worry about his future at all, wherever it will take him.
