Steam trains and Landmines

Bosnia round 2! This time, with even more trains and history. I had long wanted to go back to Bosnia because I thought it was a unique country. There were also some routes that I still wanted to do by freight, routes that I could not do in my last Bosnia trip. However, now I had even more reasons to go there. According to the Internet, there were still some old steam trains from the Second World War running around in a coal mine near Tuzla. I messaged Ekton, an explorer from Paris, with a passion for history as well. He was excited and wanted to come along the adventure. A week later, we met in Tuzla, where our journey through Bosnia began.
I hope you will enjoy it.
Thanks for the support!

Such amazing original content. Totally encapsulates what I think is valuable about traveling and approaching the world with curiosity about everything. And it's great that you go on these adventures so I don't have to! This was the video I watched that got me into your channel, keep it up!

Your art, to me, is a visual representation of the work of Mark Fischer. A marriage between Hauntology and Capital Realism. You are documenting the end of a system across countries of varying cultures and traditions but who are all falling to the same fate; the end of the future.

My father served a year over there as part of the u.s. reserves (i think around 2001). He had talked about some buildings at night you could see people walking around in shelled out buildings living their lives. The buildings that had been shot up and the forests that were full of mines. At that time digital cameras were not really good but there were machines that flailed the ground the the army had shipped in. Interesting to see how they were able to clear some of that terrible crap out. Also funny to see an old 90's chevy pickup next to the probably much older german mercades. Chevy here is super common but mercades are pretty rare sight.

Ha, back to the wild part of Europe. Where normal can be normal but also the opposite is true. Excellent story.
