Trainhopping across Serbia | Part 2

Part two. Things finally worked out. We first took our time to explore Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. There was a lot to see there, and we decided to explore the city our way. We wandered around, looking at buildings and trying to get on top of them, sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn’t. When we got to the top, we looked around, looking for other exciting buildings we could get on. And so we filled our day, occasionally pausing to eat something or to rest in the shade and enjoy the nature and parks that surrounded the grey buildings.

The next day it was back to action, we wanted to take a train from the capital to Niš, the second-largest city in Serbia. For a while, it looked like it was going to be nothing again, but then finally it was, our first freight train in the country.
