This show and its entire cast is amazing! Extraordinary Attorney Woo is the very first Kdrama I ever watched and is what got me into them. The senior attorney is the main villain from season 2 of Uncanny Counter ;)

Thanks so much - I actually have an uncle that has down-syndrome βhowever if I remember correctly my parents mentioned that its not actually autism and a genetic condition(not sure how much you know of this) so from an early age my parents taught me the basics but other than that Iβm not familiar with it at all. I appreciate your input and please donβt feel afraid to, on future videos give your input! (I read it all)

2025-09-16 16:23:39 +0000 UTCTo better understand the character and her role, here is some information on autism (I am a future speech therapist) : First of all, autism is a broad spectrum so no single person with autism will be exactly the same but there are recurring symptoms/behaviors/disorders. In her case, we can talk about autism of the Asperger type (even if it is a term that is no longer used in medical nomenclature), meaning that her IQ is higher than the norm in several tests (some remain deficient) In stereotypes, we find walking on tiptoe, clapping hands/arms when there is a strong emotion (joy). Often autism is associated with sensory disorders (physical contact, noise, not supporting certain food textures) or with auditory sensitivities (thatβs why she wears a helmet or blocks her ears when there is too much noise) In autism, people also have more difficulty understanding emotions (her own like those of others) and expressing them. Humor, the second degree are also more complex. For the whales π, itβs an important element in autism, itβs what is called a restricted interest. Sorry for the length, but autism is one of my specialties in my medical field and I find it so interesting β‘

Like that you could watch a kdrama rather access about romance, and another one about action or humor etc... I donβt know if I explained my idea well in English π π And I really like this new format!

She declined to take this role at first because she didn't want to hurt & misrepresent people with autism. The director waited for her for a year to think about it & she ultimately accepted. She did a ton of research even talked to experts on autism so she could portrayed the character correctly. She deserved all the success she got from this role.

When it first came out, everyone was obsessed with it, but I kept putting it off because I thought I wouldnβt like it. When I finally watched it much laterβ¦ I LOVED it. Park Eun Bin isnβt just a great actressβsheβs also a talented singer, even though she didnβt debut as one
