Ray is ready to start his new life. Liz and Ray hugging and crying is sweet and sad. Ray has known Liz for twelve years, ten of them she was his older sister, and five of them she was his mother. It breaks his heart to separate from her just as much as it hurt her to know that he wasn't going to live with her anymore. It's kind of sad how Ray feels that he burdened Liz and Jak with his existence because of him being a neo-mutant, as they obviously love Ray and don't care about his powers, having helped him and raised him despite the risks. Despite this, I am glad about Ray finally being free to pursue his dream and learn about his past and powers.
