Waterdeep City Map - The Mega Post (All Tiers)

The one post you need for all my Waterdeep city map content.

"One post to rule them all, one post to find them, one post to bring them all and in the internet share them." -- probably not Tolkien.

After months of mapping out the city in intricate detail, here is the end product in every format I could think of that you may need to use it in your game. If you think something is missing or need it broken up a bit differently please let me know and I will do my best to make it happen.

Attached below you will find:

• Ward maps (by ward - each zip contains all versions - filename "NameofWard"):

  • Resolutions: 10px, 20px, and 300dpi ward maps;

  • Versions: unlabelled, labelled, and a "shaded" version (so the ward will appear normal, and everything outside the ward boundary will be a bit darker so it's easy to determine the boundary.

  • Formats: jpg and png. *300dpi version is png only (lossless)

• Complete maps (the entire city and surrounding area - filename "Waterdeep_complete"):

  • Resolutions: 10px and 20px

  • Formats: jpg and png.

  • **not found below, but available on dropbox: a 9 GB bigtiff file of the complete map in 300dpi...that's a lot of pixels

• Tiled maps (taking the finished map and cutting it into squares - filename "sections_"):

  • sections_300dpi: a 2x3 grid of png files with the base tile size of 1000x1000 grid cells (5ft squares)

  • sections_foundryvtt: a 3x4 grid of webp files with all tiles <16k px in any dimension (ie. below the max web rendering size - webgl max texture size)
