June/July Update
Added 2022-06-23 18:32:41 +0000 UTCHello!
Thank you everyone for your patience and support with maps, google drive access, and everything else while I've been tied up with personal stuff. Extra apologies to new patrons who have been waiting for google drive access - that is going out today alongside this post to give you access (note: this typically goes out with each paid release - but is being sent out today (free post) as I know many of you have been waiting a very long time for it - sorry! You will never be charged your pledge amount unless I am releasing new content). Also my apologies for delays/lack of response to messages or comments.
Maps.
Things are slowly starting to trickle through the production pipeline again, but it is definitely a trickle. Here's what I hope to release (in approximate order, subject to change) over the next couple months - I'm aiming to get 2 releases out in July:
- Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Level 6-1 (Maps A & B) - this will be the next release as I really want to get DotMM rolling again. Map layouts for the entire level are done, just need to get assets in there now (which is admittedly always the time consuming part).
- Lost Mines of Phandelver - Goblin Ambush - I mentioned on discord I was running this game for some friends and (of course) made maps for it. That game is on hold (like everything else in my life right now), but both Goblin Ambush and Cragmaw Hideout were fully mapped - I'll just have to do a few slight tweaks for public release. Both maps I think offer some added value I haven't seen in the assortment of publicly available for this adventure and I would plan to continue LMoP in the future when my game resumes (and once I get deeper into DotMM).
- Original Content - Destiny (the video game) Vault of Glass inspired map - this one was from my home brew campaign and takes an encounter from the Destiny Raid and D&Difies it. I guess it's not technically "original content" but whatever. A number of my players in that game are people I played a lot of Destiny with over the years so I surprised them with this encounter and we had a blast - it can be either puzzle or combat focused (or a bit of both) and I'll include how I ran it for my players. This map/encounter can be easily dropped in any dungeon or cave in your world.
- LMoP - Cragmaw Hideout - as above, this one is also ready to go and includes some additional assets to simulate the flooding tunnel trap.
- DoTMM - Level 6 -2 (Maps C & D) - the second half of Level 6, which like the first half, still needs to be mapped. I hope that the trickle of content is a bit more steady by the time we get to here and that I can keep rolling it into Level 7 and beyond.
Personal. Just a quick update on this front as I've shared some of the details of what's going on previously (here , here and here). My son continues to grow and get stronger although we are still full time at the hospital in Vancouver and away from home - today marking 86 days in the NICU/hospital. As I've learned many times already I won't even guess when we get to go home because the answer is: as long as it takes for my son to be ready and we will be here by his side in hospital until that happens.
In the spirit of being transparent: Yes, the maps listed above are a little all over the place in terms of content/focus compared to my normal release schedule which is much more concentrated on just one adventure. These are maps that I had complete or close to completion prior to everything going sideways but are still mapped to a similar quality and polish you've come to expect from my work. With limited time and energy to devote to making maps (which was previously my "full-time job"), this allows me to keep a small amount of income rolling in until things get back to normal.
As always, thank you everyone for your patience, support, and understanding.
