2025-12-31 00:29:35 +0000 UTCGreat reaction Jen. The original novel was actually written in the 1960's and uses that "oldie-timey' language to feel much earlier. Both movies keep close to the book with slight deviations that reflect the movie making styles of the times they were made but both use large sections of dialogue word for word from the novel.
