The Mummy Returns (2001) Full Length Reaction

The curse of The Mummy is real!😂 This was another adventure with a super adventure-y score that I loved! It made me want to watch more adventure movies - anyone wanna watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest?

The knife you asked about is called a Mambele, it comes from central and south Africa.

I always watch this on St. Patrick’s Day!

Kristen

If you want to see amazing Brendan Fraser in a really sweet movie, check out Blast from the Past. So much in there you would love!

John DiGiantomasso

Pirates would be good. I think you would really enjoy Romancing the Stone. I always liked "High Road to China" with Tom Selleck as a ckassic adventure film.

zynjams

Yes to both.

Rob Nichols

One more vote for Pirates of the Caribbean

Richard Meacham

Except for "Willow" (don't want to talk about it, I am totally irrational when it comes to this movie), I like where your head's at.

Thomas Yanez

Thought of another one: The Pagemaster. Has voice acting by Whoopi Goldberg and Patrick Stewart!

Yes, I know it well, use it all the time. All my favs have been upvoted and I submit new ones every month. All patrons here should visit frequently. 🙏

A Disney fantasy movie that I should have mentioned last month or something - because of the fact that it's an Irish fantasy movie and is therefore great for St. Patrick's Day - is Darby O'Gill and the Little People. It's a live-action and one of the stars is a young Sean Connery and he has a musical number. It came out 3 years before he played Bond for the first time in Dr. No.

Some really good ones there. If you haven't yet, you should vote for them on her movie request site. https://www.jenmurrayxo.com/

+1 for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) For some more adventure-y fun you might consider these: Willow (1988) Time Bandits (1981) Romancing the Stone (1984) Ladyhawke (1985) The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) — or — Jim Henson’s Labyrinth (1986) and The Dark Crystal (1982) - two great fantasy romps from the Master of Muppets along with Frank Oz. — or — Ridley Scott’s Legend (1985) - a wonderful fantasy epic about Light vs. Darkness from the mind of Ridley Scott and William Hjortsberg (with Tom Cruise, Tim Curry and the lovely Mia Sara). Highly recommend the Director’s Cut if at all possible. — or — Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) - Guillermo del Toro’s vision of the origin and continuing story of Hellboy from the Mike Mignola graphic novels.

Lmao this reaction had more delays than Captain America 4!!

Love me some old-school Ray Harryhausen stop-motion. 😃 How about First Men in the Moon (1964).

Major Peril

Would love to see Jen react to Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) as well as Treasure Island (1950).

Major Peril

All of those have special effects by Ray Harryhausen. His stop motion effects are second to none and amazing. So definitely worth watching.

MrDannySteele

You still have the 2nd Conan movie (and maybe 3rd with Jason Mamoa) and another one of the same feel is "The Beastmaster".

Mastervodo

How about Humphrey Bogart in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) or The African Queen (1952)? Other choices include classic Disney's: Treasure Island (1950) and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954). The best choices would be one of Kurosawa's adventure type movies; The Hidden Fortress (1962) would be a good start. I'm not a real fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. But it's your pick, don't you know.

Noremac

+1 for all of these. Also Romancing the Stone.

Rob Nichols

Another movie that's sort of a fantasy adventure flick I'd recommend if you haven't seen it already is one called Stardust (2007)

BJ Stephens

Always down for some adventure movies, Pirates would be fun 😊

Matt

Pirates sounds great! Make it a Jen Pick. You would love Clash of the Titans too and maybe some of the old Sinbad movies from the 1970’s. Jason and Th Argonauts is a favorite too.
