Seinfeld S04E21-22 Full Length Reaction

Comments

I had a room mate in college, luckily it was in a suite style so we had different bed rooms, but we had a main living quarter that was shared with 3 other people. He never once all year washed his clothes nor did any laundry. It smelled so foul I had to hold my breath every time I walked past his door to get to my room without vomiting. This is no exaggeration. When he walked by you could feel the odor physically hit you as some sort of aura around him even if you were quite a few feet away. I never spoke to him because I literally couldn't get close to him enough to get a word out other than a hello from across the room and then back to quickly holding my breath. I can relate to a car smelling that bad. BO can truly actually be this bad as the show depicts. Keep in mind before going to college I worked in a funeral home for multiple years retrieving dead bodies from their place of death, doing embalmings, and more, so I was not unused to bad smells. I was not just over sensitive, and it wasn't just me that noticed it.

David

Sweat doesnt have any smell. Its odorless.

Isosceles Murray... has a ring to it.

John Randolph (George's original dad) was Clark Griswold's dad in Christmas Vacation. He must've gotten through this episode with a little help from Jack Daniels. 😜 Too bad he doesn't yell "SQUIRREL!!" 😮

Having watched both now, I really like George’s original dad. As a stand-alone TV episode, original dad is the perfect character... for this episode. As a series though? Is it even a question? Jerry Stiller is _the_ Frank Costanza. He just is.

Thegonagle

Ben Stiller learned a lot from his good ol dad. Jerry is a great actor, which you will see more of in Season 5!

Rodney Ignacio

I have all the dvds but it's more convenient for me to just pop in Netflix, although I wouldn't trade my DVDs for anything 😆

Carlos Perez

Oooooo, almost at Season 5! Almost every episode in that season is a classic! (but first: season 4 finale!)

Toc

Steinbrenner was the general manager of the New York Yankees during Seinfeld era. His name will come back in the future episodes :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Steinbrenner

My DVD copy has versions with both actors. I guess I lucked out coming across these old discs because now I get to watch both.

Thegonagle

How kooky that Netflix Australia has the Jerry Stiller version.

David Murray

My version and Randolph too. You should get your hands on the Stiller version for continuity. He is amazing

Yann Laliberté

John Randolph played him this once, but was replaced by Jerry Stiller. Larry David had those scenes re-filmed once Stiller had joined the cast, so that there would be no confusion during syndication. (My version has Randolph)

Toc

I just looked it up, the version I watched is John Randolph 🤷‍♀️

Jen M

I watched on Netflix and it was Jerry Stiller. I had no sync problems.

David Murray

I'm sure this is the John Randolph version. When Frank is introduced, Jerry Stiller is wearing an ochre/brown sweater and John Randolph wears a dark green one (even with the blur, the color of the sweater can be picked out) and the Stiller version runs a bit longer, that's why the reaction was a bit out of sync.

Carlos Perez

Mine was perfectly in sync but did not have Jerry Stiller

Yann Laliberté

I wondered that too, because I was watching the Jerry Stiller version and the reaction kept going out of sync...

Carlos Perez

because of no sound and blurred picture i thought it wasn't. Glad it did. Jerry Stiller is the best

Yann Laliberté

$98 for a VHS movie? YES, back in the day, there was a rental window for new releases and priced so only video stores could afford them and a few months later, they would get re-released and "priced to own" 😆

Carlos Perez

This is the only episode you will see this actor playing George's father. You will love the new version better I'm sure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EggYnwMWyE

Yann Laliberté

This is beyond B.O., it's B.B.O. 🤣
