I don't hate Melissa, but I did dislike her function in the script, which is basically to set up a love triangle and then get unceremoniously tossed aside and never mentioned again. As a person though she does nothing wrong whatsoever and is outrageously reasonable about the fact that her fiancée goes back to his ex at the drop of a hat.

2025-01-11 14:15:38 +0000 UTCI’d say they did pretty good with the “idea” of storm chasing, and the concepts are fairly accurate. The movie kind of misses the mark on what a tornado actually is, though. None of the close calls would really work at that scale because tornados can be so much bigger than what you actually see. Check out any of the fantastic tornado documentary channels on YouTube. The truth is much more terrifying. Some of the largest tornadoes can actually remove soil down to bedrock.
