Great music too (loved all the Elliot Smith SOOOO much). Such a simple story but the actors really nailed it. You guys said I would love it and I REALLY loved it ♡♡♡

2024-11-04 08:29:13 +0000 UTCKevin Smith tells a funny story about while they were shooting "Mallrats" or "Chasing Amy" (can't remember exactly) Ben Affleck was pissing him off by not sticking to the script. So he tells Ben "Its my movie, so we do it my way! You wanna do things your own way then write your own friggen movie. And so Affleck writes Good Will Hunting and wins the oscar lol Its been a really long time since I seen that video so dont take it word for word, but thats pretty much how i remembered it. Wish I could find the clip and post it here

2024-11-04 06:13:48 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite movies. Watched a zillion times. When I first watched the movie 25 years ago, I was taken by the loyalty among those 4 young guys. The more I watched the movie over the years, I graduated to other aspects. For instance, striking to me was the intensity that Sean physically confronted Will in their initial meeting when Will was saying shit about Sean's wife. Then, all the Sean monologues about his wife and relationships. Hard not to get teary-eyed watching the "it's not your fault" scene. And so forth. The dynamics of the Will/Chuckie friendship and the Sean/Professor friendship were interesting. The Robin Williams and Matt Damon acting is great. Also, Minnie Driver is awesome acting (and beautiful) in this. I liked Stellan Skarsgård in this, Chernobyl, and Andor. Enjoyed your reaction. I wondered if you recognized Stellan Skarsgård as Boris of the Chernobyl series you reacted to. I am going to have to listen to some Elliot Smith.

Insomnia (2002) is an excellent Christopher Nolan cop crime thriller. Pacino and Robin Williams. One Hour Photo (2002) is a superb but unsettling crime thriller drama. Robin Williams plays against type in it.
