Definitely a huge shift in tone from the first two, and so much more world building. It's been very cool to see the progression of this world throughout this trilogy! How would you rank the 3 movies?

Oops, you didn't listen to Tina Turner's 'We Don't Need Another Hero' with the end credits. And yes, Turner did a Bond song, can't remember if you made mention of it, she did 'Goldeneye'.

Before 'Thunderdome', he did 'The Year of Living Dangerously' with Sigourney Weaver', 'The Bounty' with Anthony Hopkins', 'The River' with Sissy Spacek and 'Mrs. Soffel' with Diane Keaton. Because of his growing status, the budget for 'Mad Max 2' went up, and even more so with 'Beyond Thunderdome', which was his first real starring role in a bigger budget movie, his leading man status cemented. His next movie after this was 'Lethal Weapon', which was his first starring role in a Hollywood movie, the rest was history.
