Guyyysssss I am SO. AFRAID. OF. DEEP. WATER. 😱 I started off thinking this one was going to lean more horror-esque but I was really surprised by what happened! Super curious what the ending was for the theatrical?!

I always preferred the theatrical cut as well!

2024-10-08 22:27:06 +0000 UTCI think i'm the only person in the world who prefers the theatrical cut ending. The director's cut does not portray the NTIs as peaceful, instead they are genocidal. They are super advanced and hold the biggest stick. "We can drown your planet anytime we like, so stop hurting each other" is not an ethical stance. It's a protection racket. But the imagery of the giant tidal waves is cool, i guess. It's easy not to think about the subtext.

You were recognizing the soldier Coffey with the mustache lol...that is Michael Biehn from Terminator, Aliens, & Tombstone. Also Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was Maid Marian in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves! Excellent performances from all, and you should catch Ed Harris in The Right Stuff!
