Have caught the rest of them now, they were so amazing! 🤣😂 Fabulously funny reaction. 💜 Moss, Roy and Jen are the best. Looking forward to series 4 hugely! "Series 5" a one-off special to end the series, 48 mins. But it is really excellent. In the bank robbery episode, a 'pony' is Cockney slang for £25. A ‘ton’ is £100 and a ‘monkey' is slang for £500. (😂 ) A very recommend gritty, offbeat UK gangster / heist film is 'Sexy Beast' (2001). (Ray Winstone, Ben Kingsley) The earlier company boss who jumped out of the window (Renholm Snr.) is played by Chris Morris. He's a satirist, comedy writer, comedy actor, film director, etc. He's one of the UK's all-time greatest comedy talents, he's up there with the likes of Peter Sellers, Peter Cook, Steve Coogan, etc. In 1994 he released a single series, six episode show called 'The Day Today'. It's satire comedy and the show is presented in the form of a real news broadcast, despite being 30 years old it is still razor sharp, pretty madcap and extremely funny. Chris Morris wrote it (with others including Graham Linehan) and he is the lead in every episode - he'll make you laugh tons - he's assisted by an outstanding ensemble of UK comedy actors. I am with Matt Berry, who plays the boss in the episode, who called it "ridiculous and dated", distancing himself from its content. I do not support the show's creator who is an anti-trans activist. Knowing that its cast is opposed to the episode is at least nice to hear. The portrayal of a trans woman as being just like a dude is indeed ridiculous and dated. For my reaction in the video, I think I was mostly just bewildered by what I was seeing. Sometimes I don’t know what to say when I sit through something I don’t agree with. It has happened in other shows and movies as well. Violence against women is often normalized or played for laughs, as violence against trans women was here, and it is uncomfortable to watch. I think my own personal conditioning through trauma has led me to sometimes just shut up when I don’t know how to express that I’m uncomfortable. I do apologize if posting this episode is hurtful to anyone.

2024-07-22 18:11:56 +0000 UTCNot sure I can watch episode 4. I do wonder what you thought. That episode is banned on UKTV because of it's anti-trans rhetoric. As a trans woman myself I do feel qualified to say it is indeed transphobic. So if you could respond Jen, what did you think of it?
