They had to make the sword fight in the castle...............dramatic so that Picard could do is thing in his own..................idiom. It so reminded me of Lancelot in the Holy Grail. This is one of my favorite STTNG episodes. You will see Vash again.

I won't spoil anything, but if you eventually watch Star Trek: Voyager, you'll find out what it is. Oh, and about Vash, you'll just have to wait and see, hehe...
