2024-07-27 10:19:38 +0000 UTCThere are a couple of "Easter eggs" in the movie. 1) In the scene where they are talking in front of the White House, the man feeding pigeons on the far left is Arthur C. Clarke. 2) In the scene where Dave Bowman's mother dies and the nurse drops a copy of Time magazine on the desk, that's Clarke and Kubrick on the cover.

Roy Scheider - "The guy from JAWS" lol and from this, The French Connection, and I remember him from the series Third Watch as Russian New York City Gangster Chevchenko. Natasha Schneider - For me, she is best known as the keyboardist and backing vocalist for Queens of the Stone Age, for the 'Lullabies to Paralyze' album and tour '05-'06.
