behind-the-scenes-15: The YouTube Copyright Process 🚫

*I made this video a few days ago and was going to post it today anyway...

Ironically and unfortunately, today (Thursday 24th April) I received my first copyright strike 😥 I have submitted a counter-notification against this strike and am awaiting the outcome, which could take several weeks. Wish me luck!

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF MY FUTURE VIDEOS ARE NOT BEING SUGGESTED TO YOU IN YOUTUBE - THIS WOULD CONFIRM THE CASE OF A SHADOW BAN!

The 15th Sir Hairless behind-the-scenes video!

Unfortunately, there are many copyright complications when it comes to reaction videos, where the risk of appealing them often far outweighs the potential reward 😢

This video aims to explain the overall process, dive into the various complications and nuances in detail, and show you how it works from the creator's side!

So, we can put away our riot gear? Really, really pleased for you!

Hey guys, not sure if people will see this but the 10 business days on my strike have passed. I received no response, so the strike has been removed and the video re-instated 🥳

Patreon is completely unrelated to YouTube; their different platforms at core. YouTube has copyright detection in place, whereas Patreon doesn't. Which is why I can post freely to Patreon and not worry about copyright 😊 Because they're unrelated, it's also unrelated to my YouTube monetisation. The videos are entirely separate - I upload one version of the video to YouTube and another version to Patreon So for all videos you see on Patreon, I basically make two videos 📽️ One for YouTube (which might have the filter/block on), and then one for Patreon (which might have an additional reaction)

Sorry to be so slow in viewing this. I found it incredibly interesting. One thing I would have liked to have heard about is this --- When you do a video in the Patreon environment, almost always the video is clean and has no audio or visual blockages. Why is this possible and what, if any, effect does this have on your monetization? I'll understand if you don't want to take the time to respond about this, but I would be delighted if you do!!!
