S03E19 Captain’s Holiday S03E20 Tin Man

Ok let's get the elephant in the room out of the way-- I wore my communication badge on the wrong side, what am I new here?🤦 I did ask a question in the vid tho, can you guys explain the pips to me? I got some I want to wear starting in Season 4 but some are gold and some are black? What's the deal?
These 2 eps were good! Thirsty Jen loved seeing Picard-iana Jones on an adventure vacation and then things got much more serious in ep 20.
I am getting worried about spoilers for the end of this season (people keep dropping hints that it's a huge cliffhanger) so pleeeeeeease no spoilers!! Even if u think it's not a spoiler, just hold off talking about stuff until I see it, I really appreciate it! Engage! 🖖

Pips Explanation Rank The number and color of pips on a uniform indicated an officer's rank. For example, a pip with a delta symbolized ten years of service. Collar or shoulder In seasons 1–2, pips were on the collar bone area, and in seasons 3–7, they were on the right collar. Commendation and service markers In addition to pips, uniforms also had oblong markers called "squeaks" that indicated commendations. Color Gold pips represented higher ranks, while black pips represented partial rank. Enlisted personnel Enlisted personnel wore silver pips. Examples Miles O'Brien O'Brien's rank and insignia were inconsistent in TNG and DS9. He first appeared with one silver-rimmed black pip, then two gold pips, and finally one gold-rimmed black pip. Admiral Quinn, Admiral Savar, and Admiral Aaron In the episode "Conspiracy", these admirals had different numbers of pips under their gold weave insignia.

This may have already been said, but Sovak is Rom on DS9. I don't consider that a spoiler since you've already seen Rom on DS9. Riker (Johnathan Frakes) is 6'3" tall)

I've always interpreted the end of Tin Man to be that Tin Man and Tam Elbrun Found what they needed in each other and went of in other directions to explore the universe together.

Pips Easy enough. The gold pips are full pips and indicate 2 steps in rank The black pips have a small gold circle and indicate 1 step in rank. Wesley Crusher has 1 full pip and it tells you he is an ensign. 1 full pip and 1 black pip means Lieutenant junior grade. 2 full pips and you are a full Lieutenant and Worf holds that rank 2 full pips and 1 black pip and you are a Lieutenant Commander, Data and Geordi are that rank 3 full pips and you have a Commander. Riker is a Commander. Then we jump to 4 full pips and we have The rank of Captain and That means Captain Picard when we are on the TNG Enterprise

Enjoyed both eps. Captain's Holiday was a laugh. :D
