Yeah its a bit of a trick question since Hereford is inland with only river access, and the SAS don't specialise with water operations (that's the SBS's purview).

That is a place on the French coast called Villefranche (Villefranche-sur-Mer) We made port there a few times, very nice place. Used a lot for movie scenery. You'll see it in this one, James Bond - Never Say Never Again, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, to name a few. The train station is up on the hill and it's only a 15-20 min train ride to Nice for shopping. ;-)

2024-04-06 21:36:42 +0000 UTCThe fake operative was played by Sean Bean, was played the terrorist in Patriot Games, as well as Ned Stark in Game of Thrones and Boromir in LOTR. Also the villain in Goldeneye. Another good movie that has a similar vibe is The French Connection, starring Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. The car chase scene from that movie is legendary.
