You know, I could take it or leave it with this movie, but just like with Hot Fuzz, Iβm watching it JUST to see her reaction to Handsome Bond π

2024-02-27 06:57:02 +0000 UTCWell, since someone else mentioned the Spruce Goose and that the airship in the movie was a Zeppelin and not a blimp, I guess I'll have to point out that the aircraft that Hughes rescued them with was a gyro-plane. They were one of the early types of heavier than air aircraft. It's sort of, but not quite, like a cross between a plane and a helicopter. They can take off on a shorter runway (although not completely vertically like a helicopter), but their mechanism isn't quite as complicated as a helicopter. They're not common today, but there is a small group of dedicated enthusiasts that fly them. I forgot just how many famous actors were in this movie. Besides Connelly and Dalton, you have Alan Arkin (Peevy), Paul Sorvino (Eddie Valentine), Terry O'Quinn (Hughes), Ed Lauter (Fitch), Eddit Jones (Malcolm), and William Sanderson (Skeets). And I've got one thing to say about Jennifer Connelly. When it comes to picking her man, you can't say she lacks Vision... ;-)
