Guyssss I think last week I said it officially feels like spring and we didn't get a winter this year and now this week it's just been snowing snowing snowing. What the frig!

Also, I'm looking for a new good book to read, anyone have any suggestions?

I appreciate everyone here who understands that I'd like to keep things kind and respectful. We're all just here to have fun! ☺️ I know not every schedule will be everyone's personal favorite but I try my best to do a mix of genres and decades.

I'm so grateful to all of you for being here! Have a great week ♡♡

A Jen/Tara reaction is always worth the wait ❤️❤️❤️

Joe M

Oh, Awesome! A League of Their Own w/Tara? Can't wait!

Zachary Carter

For something completely different, I'd like to suggest a book very dear to me. "Invisible Cities" by Italian writer Italo Calvino. Most of the book consists of brief prose poems describing 55 fictitious cities - it's easy to put down and pick up later. Another day I might suggest "A Perfect Vacuum" by Polish author Stanisław Lem, a collection of fictitious criticism of nonexisting books. Both are on the top shelf of my little weird library.

Grga Pitic

Since you're watching The Rocketeer, can I recommend Dick Tracy (1990).

Jon

Lol typo, good call. Fixed now!

Jen M

Not only is season 3 when TNG gets better, there are at least three episodes that could go on a list of all-time greats. Congrats on getting this far, I'm excited for you!

Jesus F Christ

Read 'Dune' in preparation for Part 2. Since you liked 'The Last Samurai' James Clavell's 'Shogun' could be of interest, hopefully the new mini-series will live up to it.

RobertC

Just because I wont watch JO JO ( I hate that movie) doesnt mean I dont like Jens choices, there are a lot of folks who want to watch that piece of cra... so enjoy.

zynjams

I forgot to add The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It's a fantastic read but it is long series

Ronny Boss

Since I don't want you spending too much time reading instead of making reaction videos :-) , howzabout the light novel (NOT the manga) All You Need Is Kill, by Hiroshi Sakurazaka? It's the book that Edge of Tomorrow was *loosely* based on. Re the choices, I'm here in no small part because of the effort you put into keeping things varied. I'm not particularly excited about TNG, but it's not as if its taking over the channel. So keep it up, and enjoy the snow! :-)

Happy Hanukkah

For a good book to read might I suggest The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey (my favorite sci-fi books and it overtook star trek as my favorite sci-fi tv show...it's really flippin good) Expeditionary Force by Craig Alanson (it's also an amazing series that is action packed, dramatic, and sometimes hilarious sci-fi series with space hamsters and an almost god like talking beer can.) And lastly The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. (A great fantasy series that is brutal and has an amazing cast of characters, and fantastic storytelling. The other books based in this world are really flippin good as well. )

Ronny Boss

We love you, Jen. You make things fun.

Gregory Forster, Jr.

WEW! s03e02 again! i hope this is not just some crafty way to take away my last extra episode! are we getting reaction clip showed?

rubberkidney

Hi Jen. My last read was by/about Aurikateriina, a fellow YouTuber. She has an interesting backstory and recent trajectory, somewhat like yours :).

Don Kelley

waiting for a league of their own will be perfect, since Baseball season will be upon us

zynjams

Did you ever read Fight Club?

Kyle H

Oh wow, I am so happy you are reacting to JoJo Rabbit. I will definitely be watching your reaction. I watched JoJo Rabbit for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and was blown away at how much I liked it. One of my favorite movies of recent years. Looking forward to A League of Their Own. A 90s movie I have watched many times. My kids liked it. I like War of the Worlds (2005).

Clay F

The Club Dumas is an excellent book. The Ninth Gate is based on it, a great mystery/thriller with some horror mixed in.

Carlos Perez

That was my fav book of 2022! I cried!

Jen M

Rocketeer has possibly my favourite James Horner score and is what got me into movie music, so I have no doubt you'll like it for that reason alone.

Josh B

A League of Their Own with Tara will be awesome! You jinxed the snow by saying it passed you by. ❄☃ It's hot chocolate time. I'm looking forward to the films, haven't seen two of them. Have space excitement for TNG S3. :D Some book recommendations; Strange Pilgrims: Twelve Stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy Killing Floor (Jack Reacher #1) by Lee Child The Silence of the Lambs by Robert Harris Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk Atonement by Ian McEwan

Jason Scade

Since you like sci-fi, try Project Hail Mary, by Andy Weir. And if you like audio book form, this book is tops. This is one of my top favorite books.

Kristin D

I read The Lost Apothecary and could not put it down.

Christian Malbeuf

100% this.

PapaXan

All great choices! Looking forward to all of them.

Andrew

When it comes to book recommendations, top of my list would be pretty much anything by Jim Butcher. His biggest series is The Dresden Files about a wizard detective living in Chicago. 17 books, many short stories, and still going. He also has Codex Alera which is a more traditional fantasy series. It's complete at six books and is a lot of fun. And his most recent series is The Cinder Spires, which is a more swashbuckly fantasy with crystal-power airships, talking cats, and other neat stuff. The first book, "The Aeronaut's Windlass" was easily the best "Book One" of a series I've ever read. The second book came out last fall and was incredible. I can't wait to see where he takes the story next. Very glad to see The Rocketeer on the schedule, it's such a fun movie. And while the Spielberg/Cruise "War Of The Worlds" was ok, I have a soft spot for the 1953 version. There was a local TV station that would play old movies on Saturday mornings, and 1953's "War Of The Worlds", 1954's "Them!" and 1960's "The Time Machine" were highlights of the rotation.

Patrick Egan

All of these are on point, but Jojo Rabbit is a masterwork. I absolutely adore it. Definitely will be watching.

John Armbruster

Nope!

Jen M

Never heard of Jojo but I’ll be there for it. Especially looking forward to War. Jen, you should check out the original if you haven’t already. 😀

Geoff S.

A lot of great stuff this week! I'm also glad you're going to watch A League Of Their Own with your sister, it will be worth the wait.

PapaXan

Wait, people are complaining about your selections, right now, you have to be hardest working reaction person. You put out so much content and are invested in each show or movie. Your picks are great.

zynjams

I haven't seen The Rocketeer in years. Looking forward to that one! War of the Worlds is interesting as well.

Wade Wallenstein

You never disappoint Jen I'd literally watch you doing the ironing tbh 😊 this is a cracking lineup I'm kinda interested to hear the score for war of the worlds and see how it compares to the original 👌 rocketeer should be fun as everything should tbh 🔥 you're killing it week after week Jen you're the best 🫶

Ian

The Rocketeer AND War of the Worlds AND more TNG S3! This week has gone to Heaven!

David Olden

Heck yeah! That will be a good movie to watch with your sis.

Jason Hardman

I read a lot of sci-fi and non-fiction.

SnakeandNape

I'm really enjoying your TNG reactions. Just wait, a lot is coming.

Jon

Ya ever read Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides?
