WE MADE IT!!! Finally checking out Season 3 and I did notice a difference in quality for sure! I was surprised the Pulaski-Crusher switch back happened right away and I was really happy we had another Data episode! Loving this Trek with you guys!! Engage! 🖖

I was a semi-passive watcher of TNG in real time ca. early 90s, but now I’ve purchased the entire series. So, don’t ever let it be said that reviews/reaction are taking money from the copyright owners. I firmly believe they re-stimulate interest, and ultimately put more $ into the coffers of the creators/ owners. Thank you, Jen. I will never forget this!

So when Wes threw that comment out that she wasn't there, Dr C should have reminded him it was his choice to stay.

2024-02-20 01:06:29 +0000 UTCI feel like you're really going to enjoy S3. There's only one episode I can think of that's kinda meh, the rest, imho, range from good to really good to the start of some of the top tier stuff.

2024-02-19 20:22:00 +0000 UTCNeither of these episodes are on my top 10 list, yet they are soooo good. Evolution - pretty standard affair, really. Crusher is back (yay!), and we have a Wessels (I am calling him that from now on) episode where he didnt fix something, but rather broke something. Nice trope reversal. Picard playing mediator. The ending was maybe a little too quick and sudden (Deus Ex Machina maybe). Ensigns - yeah, this one is good. If there is anything in TNG that is a near direct reflection of TOS, it is the Spock/Data parallel. Very different, but still there. Data is starting to figure out that being more human maybe shouldnt be the goal, but that working with what he is capable of to be effective is important. And it is relatable with us too. Too often we look up to people with different capabilities and have a need to emulate some portion of their character/abilities. Really we need to learn to work with what we have to accomplish more meaningful goals. I dont know, that's probably all gibberish, but its fun.
