Woah, this one was intense. It seemed almost like 2 different movies put together. It started off in the real world and ended in a surreal hellscape. Crazy. I feel like there was probably a lot of symbolic imagery in there that I didn't catch so feel free to enlighten me.

The other 2 main Kubrick films are 2001 and Clockwork Orange. 2001 features visual effects from 1968 that are still completely spectacular today and one particular "gravity" effect while jogging which is amazing.

2023-12-13 07:45:32 +0000 UTCFMJ: War without heroes. That’s radical! YES to more Kubrick. His adaptation of Lolita is the closest to Strange Love and it’s great. The Killing is classics film noir. Barry Lyndon is one of the most beautifully made films ever. A Clockwork Orange is traumatizing, so beware… but it’s brilliant… and 2001 A Space Odyssey is a transcendent work of pure art. (I think Eyes Wide Shut wasn’t really finished before Kubrick passed… I actually know that to be so… so it’s hard to judge… It’s still full of brilliance)
