Wow. I am shocked you took heat for your Pulaski dislike. When the show aired, I didn't now anyone who liked her. She is constantly rude and abrasive, especially to Data. She has the personality of a turnip.

I've never thought that any particular episode is necessary just to provide information, or even to provide emotional context, for later episodes. I think that one could provide a very short summary (just a few sentences) that would provide everything the viewer needs to know without having to sit through a "stinker." On the other hand, I mean, I had to sit through it, so by the Hazing Theory of Artistic Fairness, maybe Jen does too?

No spoilers, but we gradually learn more and more about Worf and his background throughout the series. As for "Coming of Age", my understanding is that Wesley's test was for early admission to the Academy, rather than the normal route -- but I could be wrong about that?

Finally got some time to watch this. The "different uniform" is the dress uniform (they had those in TOS, too, like when they first met Spock's father). If you notice, a lot of times when Patrick Stewart sits down, he does a little tug on his shirt so that it isn't wrinkled. Fans jokingly referred to that as "The Picard Maneuver" (A reference to the episode "The Battle" where Picard did that fancy warp maneuver that is not called "The Picard Maneuver." ) When Jonathan Frakes does that leg thing while sitting down, that ended up being nicknamed "The Riker Maneuver." Notice the name of the outpost where Worf was found? It was Khitomer. That was where the peace conference in Star Trek VI was located. The Klingon defense attorney who was defending Kirk in the trial was Worf's grandfather, and he was also played by Michael Dorn. BTW, don't think that rankings of the votes necessarily means good episodes. I'm not sure, but I think that Skin of Evil (coming up this weekend) was probably in the top 10, but it would be considered a "stinker." It's unfortunately also one that you pretty much have to watch because....reasons. In most cases the higher ranked episodes will be the better ones, but there are some that have to be watched regardless of quality due to what happens in that episode. The overall average episode quality does really improve starting in the 3rd season (not that there aren't good episodes in the first two seasons, but there are also a lot more mediocre ones thrown in). Almost forgot to mention: A reference to deuterium! They love mentioning it, but judging by how it's mentioned, I'm not sure they know what it is (and later (mostly on Voyager), they almost seem to do it just to piss of some of the fans who complain out it). It's just an isotope of Hydrogen. Basically, instead of consisting of just a proton and an electron, it's got a proton, a neutron, and an electron. It isn't even radioactive (That's Tritium, which has 2 neutrons instead of just one). When you change deuterium with the word hydrogen, you get how silly some of the dialog sounds to those in the know. "There's a hydrogen leak, but it's not up to toxic levels yet..."

I can’t help but wonder Is Jen gonna take her star-fleet training to include all the Star Trek shows ? I think she is becoming a fully fledged Trekker (just like the rest of us) 🫡

I enjoyed all four eps. And we're edging closer to The Borg. 🥳🎉 (😭)
