Blade Runner: The Final Cut Full Length Reaction

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die.

I loved this one!!! The sci-fi meets noir style was both grungy and beautiful, the music was amazing, and the questions it asks about being human v being a replicant really got my wheels turning. I came to my conclusions at the end but let me know what you think! 2049 will be up very soon!

Blade Runner: The Final Cut Full Length Reaction

Comments

Oh man, trying to find 'the right' version of the soundtrack was such a chore, until the modern digital age... Someone, somewhere, 'made' a more accurate score long ago, and I grabbed it off some forum. Even the bad versions of the score are great, AND, bonus, it's been sampled a lot, especially in Paul Oakenfold's Goa mix... I Love Vangelis... And this movie score is in my top 3 I think.

The Vangelis Soundtrack to blade runner is amazing and readily available on youtube with beautiful removed material. I adored the score as a kid but Vangelis refused to release it for about 15 years because they kept recutting the flick and he had to rescore. The only thing available in the 80s was a generic orchestra trying to emulate what he performed. Yet he came back and did an amazing score for Ridley Scott's Christopher Columbus movie 1492 Conquest of Paradise..gorgeous score..and beautiful looking movie.

Hey Jen, now that you have seen Blade Runner, I recommend that you watch 2001: A Space Odyssey (1969), maybe the only film that rivals it as the greatest sci-fi ever.
