Live and Let Die (1973) Full Length Reaction

Get me a make on a white pimp-mobile!

Roger Moore is a cool Bond! This one felt sooooo 70's to me with the fashion, cars, and lingo baby. LOVVVVED the theme song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A little bit of everything in this one - gadget watch, tarot cards, car chases, boat chases, explosions, snakes, sharks, crocodiles AND alligators! Didn't know I needed to see James Bond called both "Jim" and "honky" til now ๐Ÿ˜‚

Apologies for the brief cameo from my cat Skinny where he bit through my headphone cord in 1 bite ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ป

Roger Moore will return in The Man with the Golden Gun ๐Ÿ‘

The alligator stunt coordinator was Ross Kanaga, they liked him so much during pre-production that they named the main villain after him; Kanaga

Robin Hood is my all-time fav Disney movie!!

Jen M

I remember being 5 years old and my parents taking me to see this at the Odeon Marble Arch in London the year it came out. We also saw Disney's Robin Hood around the same time. Sadly the theater is no longer there.

Geoff S.

One little factoid for you. Roger Moore, when he made his first Bond movie, was older than Sean Connery was when he finished playing Bond.

Joeking

Well Jen, your movie instincts paid off once again - you actually called the moment where Bond steps from croc to croc and escapes! Great fun reaction

Anthony Peterson

The Man with the Golden Gun is next! So exciting! ๐Ÿ˜

Ok. I'm from Finland and sorry for all typos and hope everybody understandd. Have seen every bond movies. Lots of times. Newests and new once not so much, but i love your youtube content. You are my first patreon order ๐Ÿ˜€ And Ok. This Bond movie is the first of my many of Sir Roger Moores Bond movies. I think hes the best of bond movies. This wasn't my favourite movie of Roger Moores James Bonds. Bottom of it. The next one is going ti bee a cool one. First time i see my first Bond movie i think was 1985 when i was 8. One weekend in my best friend godchilds plase, where i was sleepover we watch at least 3 bond movies a night. Happy memories. Absolutrly fun and nice watch this movie with you ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ––

Just finished watching Bond with you (best Sunday evening ever) so glad you enjoyed this one it was my first introduction to the world of Bond, Rodger although not technically accurate to the written Bond was a great fit for the role, in the Uk he was a household name on tv having been groomed the play Bond, he had played a spy role in the very popular TV show THE SAINT and later in the 70s teamed up with Tony Curtis is another action show called the THE PERSUADERS which is where the Rodger witty one liners came from. Rodger just joined both characters together and got Bond. And just as an side note , the gadgets and transportation used in these movies were new cutting edge for its time period, so the hand gliding stuff had just begun as a craze. Looking for for the next one๐Ÿ‘

Jen, hopefully at some point youโ€™re still going to watch the Austin Powers movies having the Connery Bond knowledge. And now that youโ€™ve seen Roger Moore as Bond โ€ฆ youโ€™re also ready for Cannonball Run. Packed with big names including Moore, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Burt Reynolds and even a very young Jackie Chan, itโ€™s an ensemble comedy I think will be right up your alley. It also is one of the first movies I know of to feature bloopers in the credits.

Jen first time watching a whole movie sync thing..it was great, it was vicariously re enjoying the movie as if I saw it for the first time and invited a friend. I love this flick but noticed you hated JW Pepper Sherrif ..he was way popular in the old days. Also that the boat chase was too long... I agree in this watching but yeah they could have cut a minute or two out..but the main issue was there was no music for 90 percent of of it..music would have filled in the dead air.

Alberto Blanco

I just watched your link, that was interesting. And insane! Thank you for posting. :)

Jason Scade

At the end are the real attempts jumping the crocs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM_AN_gTMnA.

Alberto Blanco

Thank you. Was he in 'The Cannonball Run' also?

Jason Scade

That was the same actor in Superman II. lol.

Dustin Denner

Can't wait to watch along tonight. Time to whip up a sazerac, we're going to New Orleans! From the comments so far, sounds like this was a belter of a Bondy reaction vid.

David Miller

Definitely, was a very good actor. โ™ฅ He's hilarious in Midnight Run as a constantly frustrated FBI boss. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Jason Scade

That was a barrel of laughs reaction. โ™ฅ The corn and cheese factors were pretty high in the flick. ๐Ÿ˜… I think the gross Sheriff was in Superman II, he encounters Zod and company on the road. 2:02:08 It had some good clunking on the head. ๐Ÿ˜†

Jason Scade

I can't remember if it's the first boat chase either, but I can definitely tell you it won't be the last. I can think of at least 3 other Bond movies that have boat chases. None of them are quite as long though.

offbrandhotdogs

I love Sean Connery but Roger Moore is my bond. I just enjoy his wit, smoothness and humor with 70s/80s style!!

Joe Lazarus

Roger Moore,OMG he had to be the epitome of an English Gentlemen,he's smooth, dashing, brave & resourceful..no wonder he and Sean Connery where lifelong friends! So far I believe this is your best 007 reaction Jenny!๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜˜ I agree with you on Sheriff Pepper he wasn't just gross,he was down right disgusting! :(

Celeste McAllister

You sound like you need wireless headphones.. Hoping to get the time to pop this on over the weekend

Gunnar Rea

Yep, I never cared much for that boat scene either, except when I first saw this and was 8 years old. :D

Vwlss Nvwls

I was wondering if Jen would recognize him from playing Parker in "Alien".

Thomas Yanez

"We're in a lair! We're in a lair! Oh, we're in a freaking lair!" LOL, it is so much fun watching you watch these for the first time.

Thomas Yanez

RIP Yaphet Kotto. I always loved this guy, he had a great presence.

Vwlss Nvwls

This was the first James Bond movie I ever saw, but I saw it on television. I remember watching it on t.v. with my father and a few months later he took me to see "The Spy Who Loved Me" in the theater... my first Bond movie in the theater, after which I saw ever Bond movie in the theater up until the Daniel Craig films.

Vwlss Nvwls

You asked if you could really do the stunt with the crocodiles... the answer was right before you. You saw it happen. The man who really ran across the backs of the live crocodiles was actually the owner of that croc farm.

Thomas Yanez

Another Bondy!
