I ought to change that name, haven't made Monday in quite a while... But here it is, the Monday Update where I will give a first overview of what I am planning wih the new game.
As a little Disclaimer. Everything said here might still change if it needs to. That said, I wouldn't tell you about something I haven't actually thought through.
tl;dr: You are an average dude that survived a strange apocalypse and is now fighting
nightmarish monsters and solving mysteries to fend for himself and a beatiful girl. There will be exploration, fights, base building and more sex then ever before.
The name:
I suck at giving names, so you will have to wait a bit before I deliver one I am satisfied with. If anyone has suggestions, I am happy to receive them.
The Setting/Plot:
This time around you will play in the real world as an average guy. You are about to spend a few days at the mountain hut of your late grandfather, as thick fog envelops the land and swallows everything in its path. All communication breaks off and you are virtually stranded on top of the mountain were the fog doesn't reach. On top of that, strange creatures with glowing eyes wander through the mist, intent on attacking everything that enters. But you aren't the only survivor, as a girl, that was camping in the woods manages to flee to your hut.
The Gameplay:
The game will be roughly split in two areas. First is your home. Here you will spend your days in peace. Learning, training, building new facilities to survive and spending time with your girl. Second are the dungeons. Areas in the fog where you can scavenge for food and ressources to survive aswell as learn more about what happened and what will happen. These two parts arent separated though. As you will need to progress in the fog to further develop your home and vice versa.
I already have a plan how to implement all of that and how to make fight systems etc. But I will tell you about those once I've written the code down.
The Girl(s):
The game will start with a single girl. A choice I made to really be able to focus on the quality and quantity of her scenes. Scenes in general will be more frequent then in A Tale of Eden. But that doesn't mean she will be the only girl. At least one addition is planned for later and maybe even more will come. Time will tell.
My Thoughts/Plans:
For this new game I had one specific goal in mind. That was to increase two aspects. Make the game more of a game and less a visual novel and turn up the sex. So I will focus heavily on animating all sorts of things and giving the mechanics, visuals and sound a big overhaul. With an exploration system, a fight system and base building as new options next to more scenes and events with the girl. And on top of that, I spent much more time on properly plotting the story and thinking the mechanics and events through to a point, were I know pretty much all I want to do.
I am also quite sure I can handle all of my plans. I know how to do the graphics, I watched enough hours of Python tutorials to write a proper code and have made enough experience to know how to pace and organize myself. The only factor left is time. And that might take a while. I am working a lot on this, as it is kind of my hobby now, but I am not sure how long it will take. My goal is a release before 2020, but I can't promise it. I will give updates on that later.
