Disney Pixar's Coco FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Hi guys! Here is the movie that came 3rd in the Movie Poll (don't worry, we will be running polls again XD I just didn't want to do the top pick).

Coco! Not 'Disney's Coco', which I have since discovered isn't how it 'should' be named, as it is a Pixar movie! XD Sorry about that!

ABSOLUTELY beautiful film! The art design was incredible and the story heart-warming. We also get a villain this time (and... I am so mad at 'them' XD).

As always with movie reactions, you will need your own copy of the film to sync to, but I provide a timecode and pop ups to make this easy!

I plan on covering the 4th place movie too, but the next series of movies will probably start soon after! So keep an eye out! :)

Disney Pixar's Coco FULL LENGTH Reaction!

For Encanto, I can see why people still don't like the grandmother. She was the cause of all the events, and while not really the villain, her apologizing doesn't really take back the years of trauma. The amount of pressure put on them was a lot for many years. The only ones who probably got it off easy were Félix and Agustín and thats cause they married into the family. For some people, that kind of trauma can not be forgiven. Though I see why the grandmother did what she did, it's not excusable at all. She is one of my least favorite characters in the film. This film is so good (not as good as Encanto to me) but the story is just really amazing. Most of the family just went along with it for the sake of family but Miguel wasn't into it, he fell in love with music and he fought for it. He was willing to leave his family just to prove to them music wasn't bad. It is sad when families will ignore what you are passionate about because they think you are too young to know. I'm happy he stood up for what he loved, and in the end managed to help his family realize maybe they were wrong.

i really like the "one off" movie reactions. I always stick to my liked series/movies and rewatch them way too often. With those reactions i force myself to try new things, i would have not tried without your reaction :)

Jonas (Methanoutput)

Since you asked about it in the intro: I really like your system where you stop once in the middle of the movie. It is really unique and I always quite enjoy to already get some a little more in depth thoughts of yours :) Edit after the reaction: I think my favorite from this movie is Hector, though I also love Imelda for being able to accept the truth once it is given to her and eventually forgive Hector😊.(And Coco is of course adorable at the end but we get so little of her throughout the rest of the movie that I can't really pick her as my favorite). And for Encanto my favorite is actually Mirabel herself closely followed by Luisa because my heart breaks every time when I hear "Surface Pressure" (Though I actually really really like all the other family members as well).

Diego Zenhäusern

Such a beautiful and important movie. I show this to everyone who tells me they haven't seen it and haven't had one person be disappointed yet. Makes me cry every time.

Third or fourth time watching this movie and cried again. Many subjects and themes that cross cultural borders. I like Hector: a man who made mistakes and trusted the wrong people, but who at heart was really pure. He truly loved his family. What a tragedy to know your innocence but be trapped and hated for decades. Dante, of course, was a beacon of light in every scene he was in. Loved your reaction to and thoughts on this movie.

Yay, so glad you liked it! 😍 This is the 8th time I've seen the film and I'm still fascinated by the immense creativity. The whole design around the skeletons and the Land of the Dead is amazing. Also how they managed to portray this sad subject in such a positive way (most of the time) and the Mexican culture also, of course. And the evolution of the title song ‘Remember Me’ from this shabby pop song to such a powerful, emotional song at the end. Ah, so good! 😍 At the beginning of the film you don't understand it at all, but by the end, you realize how powerful those lyrics are. The whole message of the film is summed up in that song. There are so many emotional moments in this film that touch you deeply, even more, when you are older. I remember when I saw it in the cinema, everyone was crying at the end. And there was even a standing ovation. I've never experienced that before (apart from the last Harry Potter film). I still get goosebumps when I think about it. I don't know if I cry at some points because the message of the film makes me emotional, but I think sometimes I also cry because I'm so happy and can't comprehend how people can produce such a beautiful animated, creative, loving film. They really deserved this Oscar. Oh, and my favorite Disney villain is HADES 🔥 (from Hercules 1997) He is so iconic, and I think I got my dark humor from him 😂👌🏻 Great film by the way! with incredible music. They recently made a musical out of it.

Haha I knew this film would make you cry! But I was crying with you so you’re not alone 😅 That ending scene with Miguel singing to Coco always gets me, it’s such a beautiful moment. My favourite character is Héctor since his story is so tragic you can’t help but feel for him and yet despite it he’s still funny and light hearted. I love that he gets his happy ending reuniting with his family and crossing the bridge 😊 I was very surprised to hear that you haven’t seen monsters inc. You should definitely add it to the list if it isn’t already! It was my favourite film as a child, I watched it so much I memorised every line from the first 15 minutes and would say them along with it 😂
