Movie Watcher Reads Harry Potter For the First Time! - Prisoner of Azkaban Chapters 8, 9 & 10!

Hi guys!  Here is the next part of the Harry Potter Book Review! And YES, it is another 4 hours long! XD

I'll put my hands up straight away and say, I make some mistakes in this one!  Thankfully, most of them are corrected by you guys in the Book Club! For some reason, I thought the 'cloud grim' WAS in the book! O_o  Also, I got completely bamboozled by "Fidelius" in the book club section, thinking it was a name of a character! Again, by the end of the video I realise I was being a schmuck!

So sorry about the mistakes, guys!  I think they are always going to happen here or there, but I wanted to own up to these two straight away! No doubt there are more in the 4 hours of this episode! XD

Enjoy and hope you are having a great weekend!!

Ravenclaw Just got to say, the outtakes at the end caught me off guard xD

Just got to the quidditch match part and it’s my biggest pet peeve about the movie. In the movie Harry sees ‘The Grim’ in a cloud but in the books he thinks he sees the Grim as a physical dog which is later explained to have been Sirius watching him play

Gryffindor Sir Cadogan was in fact a Gryffindor, and (interestingly enough) a contemporary of Merlin, who was a Slytherin. I'm pretty sure we're told in supplemental materials that the two knew each other and that Sir Cadogan tried and was unsuccessful in becoming a Knight of the Round Table.

Ravenclaw. Thank you for These book reviews I thoroughly enjoy listening to them. I must say i Love Slytherin and if I could have had a Harry influence I’d choose them but I also have great pride in being a Ravenclaw.

In defense of Lupin, the only way to prevent the SnapeBoggart, would ahve been to not let Neville at it. Lupin can't control what Neville fears and he only found out after he asked Neville. If he then tells Neville that he shouldn't really go up against the Boggart if that is his fear, it may have irreparably damaged Nevilles courage, because he'd think lupin thought him to weak to deal with his fear, kind of what harrys thinks at first. This really is on Snape. He has only himself to blame for becomeing Nevilles worst fear and now he is reaping the consequences.

2:26:40 I don't think its that weird that Filch could fix a magical painting. In Chamber we find out that photos move after being developed in the right potion. I presume its similar for paintings either a potion mixed into the paints or put on after. If its the first, someone could make up the potion/paint mix for Filch. If its the second, Filch could do a regular muggle repair on it and someone else, probably Snape or Dumbledore, can reapply the potion after if its even needed.

I love the idea of it being advanced. But there is also the fact students technically aren't supposed to use magic outside the classrooms. Though that would stop someone like Dumbledore being able to conjure a giant one over the students watching (or even the whole thing!) Either option could be viable. However....it likely is that she hadn't thought of it. I do believe she had ideas for fantastic beasts (the whole Nagini thing HAD to be planned ahead right?) but that doesn't mean she thought of all the little details like making an umbrella with a wand.

Hufflepuff I think the in-universe answer as to why none of the students use cool "force fiel wand umbrellas" would probably be that the spell is to advanced. But I'm 99% sure that the actual answer is that Rowling just hadn't thought of that back then😅 (especially since I doubt that spell would actually be all that complicated🤔)

I do think that Harry asking if there was going to be a replay quite fair as it wasn’t so much that he lost. It was more because of the dementors being there. He didn’t know that Cedric had apparently caught the snitch as Harry had fallen from his broom. So him asking this question was pretty valid under the circumstances and from his perspective at that time.

I haven't finished the video yet, but your reaction to Hufflepuffs win from 1:23:20 onwards was just pure gold!!! That just made my day Veggie, never change!😂😅

Diego Zenhäusern

I agree with this 100%!

I do love the written summaries quite a bit, but... can we ask that any biased statements be left out? It's kind of offputting. A summary should just be a description of events. The only opinions I'm looking for (outside of the book club section) are yours.
