The thing that you think movie did better - I think it did worse. I don't think Ron and Hermione would be scared of Harry. They trust him completely. They know him for a while. They've all risk their lives together before.

He has done one, it's on YouTube :)

Tom knew he'd go to the orphanage in the summer. He just doesn't want the school to close due to Myrtle's death and be stuck at the orphanage permanently.

Veggie, I'd love to see your reaction to the Trailer for the Hogwarts Legacy game, if you have done a vid on it I think I may have missed it.

I did forget Bellatrix, my bad! I do think Rowling's writing isn't as straightforward as "ugly = bad" or "beautiful = good" (hence my comment above), but she does have an unfortunate tendency to sometimes ridicule certain characters for their physical characteristics, when their actions should be the focus.

Also bellatrix as well is someone known as really beautiful but her time in Azkaban ruined her looks a bit. I understand it’s uncomfortable for bad guys to have ugly traits but Tom riddle and bellatrix, who are some of the most awful people in the series are good looking.

Your thought about dark wizards have something against well educated muggles got me smiled. Its not about that in that scene. Justin said it was planned for him to go to Eton, which means he is muggleborn and therefore "mudblood" like Hermione... in the eyes of dark wizards he dont belong to hogwarts

Really enjoyed the book club Veggie, as always! Just sad that I missed out commenting on this one since I was away on holiday. As an extension to your point about "bad" characters being described as ugly (which is a very valid point, and something that makes me a tad uncomfortable in these books, no matter how much I love them), it's funny how readers who hate Severus will swear up and down that he's described as ugly in the books... but he never is. Sure, you could argue his characteristics as they're described might not add up to someone being conventionally attractive, but that's a matter of perspective. That being said, there are actually not many characters who are marked out as being specifically "handsome" or "beautiful", either, which sort of balances out the whole thing. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Fleur, Sirius, Cedric, Lily and Gilderoy being described in completely flattering terms. And, interestingly, Tom Riddle.

About your confusion about the Ron/Riddle comment from Frederique Gillespie: Ron joked, as some pointed out, that maybe Riddle got the award for special services to the school because he killed Myrtle. It's a harsh joke, but even though that wasn't what actually happened, there is still SOME truth to it since it IS true that Riddle killed Myrtle (through the basilisk). Great video as always, Veggie! Still think it would be better to watch Fantastic Beasts after finishing the books, but I probably should shut up about that now since you seem to have decided to watch it soon! I think you'll really like it, tbf. Oh, and I think your hufflepuff pride is very funny (even though I'm Ravenclaw), so you should keep it up.

Hi lucky! Yeah I will hopefully get them unprivated when I can. I honestly loved the first chapter of V3 and enjoyed most of the rest of the game, but I fully admit that last chapter was TERRIBLE (apart from the fact my fav character survived XD). And for DR3, yeah it started to get very tough for me to get through. It definitely has some great high points though! And I agree the closure was excellently done! :)

I know it's not related to Harry Potter, but since you mention Danganronpa in this video. I find out a while ago that you had played Danganronpa games but I'm sad the videos got blocked. I hope you can bring it back someday. I'm surprised that you said you had to force yourself to finish DR3 anime. I haven't watch your review video, so I'm going to check it later. Still, it's interesting that I had opposite opinion from you. I actually dislike V3 because it has nothing to do about continuation of DR1 & DR2 story. Also I played V3 first before watching DR3. I admit DR3 it's not that good but I still enjoy watching it because I finally got closure and find out what's going on before DR1. But I still understand if anyone dislike the anime and my feeling was probably biased because I felt bamboozled by ending of V3.

Haha speaking of holograms in Red Dwarf and you mentioning smarmy, Rimmer in that, is the very definition of smarmy!

I think what you were trying to say with the tiers of magic, I interpret more as a spectrum. Some may be talented in all areas some may be talented in one or two, some may just constantly be on the struggle bus, but they all have some magic. On that note, I feel like squibs maybe do have a little bit of magic in them but are unable to tap into it or get it to work. For that matter, muggles too, probably have dormant magic in them as well. How else could super powerful witches and wizards be born to muggle parents? I think it was Goyle's hands that were the size of dinner plates, not his eyes. Although, if he got a face-full of the potion, maybe it was his eyes. Yikes... You made me curious so I looked it up, gargoyles are a form of grotesques that convey water away from a building. I never knew that! To me, the statue outside Dumbledore's office in the movie is a griffin. Once again, love the reactions! I don't care how long they are. You're awesome and I know we all appreciate you doing these :)
