Kobolds are just the best. I don't think anyone can argue me on that. Kobolds are the best, and anyone who says any differently is just jealous that they aren't a dragon. This week, I wanted to create more kobolds who fill different niches in combat, but also kobolds that are stronger than just CR 1 monsters. Kobolds can be powerful foes if you just give them a chance!
Ambusher (CR 4) These hunters specialize in hiding in the shadows and then filling you with arrows, leaving you staggered as their allies run in and stab your ankles.
Clanchief (CR 13) A powerful leader of a kobold clan, they eagerly run into battle where they can pummel you into the ground.
Dragonblood (CR 6) With the blood of the dragon, these brutes can unleash waves of dragon breath, wreathing you in elemental energy.
Slink (CR 2) Stealth, daggers, and more daggers are the MO of these kobolds. They like to move in and out of the shadows, stabbing their enemies quickly before fleeing for the safety of darkness.
Trapper (CR 7) These are the kobolds you have to thank for all the fun traps that are placed throughout a kobold's warren.
War Horde (CR 4) Sometimes you just need a swarm of kobolds to descend upon your players, reminding them that quantity has a quality all its own.
Wyrmherald (CR 9) The right claw of a dragon, the wyrmherald bolsters its allies with its mere presence, inspiring them to rip you apart and to show no fear.
