I pulled influences from some genres I'm not used to like Hyperpop (which formed the background atmosphere) and ambient/glitch (which is one of the drum texture layers). From there I came up with a jazzy, melancholic chord progression that felt nice for a progressive/melodic house song.
I think the idea is decent and it came together nicely, but I'm not the biggest fan of the main melody. I'm hoping to return to this one, but it's not at the top of my list and I'll be adjusting the lead quite a bit.
What do you think? - Do you like the melancholic, laid-back emotion in this one? Can you hear the subtle influences from other genres? And would like me to finish this one? Download attached and the WIP Archive has been updated!
