Apr 4 - Moonwalk
Added 2024-04-05 14:00:08 +0000 UTCThis week I started out with some arpeggiated chords and just ran with it. After adding a bunch of layers and a basic arrangement it's decent, but I'm not sure I'd return to this one. I like the FX layers and drums the most, so I'll definitely repurpose those either way.
What do you think? Is this an idea you like? And would you like to see this one finished? And do you like a lead melody that's more appegiated? - Let me know in the comments :)

As always, thank you for your support. I have a lot on my plate personally right now and I'm going to try my hardest to stick to my normal schedule. That said, next week's stream (and subsequent WIP post) will have to move around a bit. I'll keep you posted on Discord.

Yeah I think something is just generally missing from this idea. It's got some cool concepts in it, but I don't think that the sum of all the parts is stronger than the parts separately. The dissonance you're hearing might be the percussion layers - after exporting, I noticed some of them sound a bit too glitchy and almost out of place.

2024-04-05 22:56:30 +0000 UTCThis sounds like something I could listen to while studying on something that needs a lot of motivation, or working out low key. As I heat through the sound, I hear a bit of dissonance with some of the beats in some places. I wonder if this is on purpose or not.
