Sept 14 - I Don't Believe
Added 2022-09-15 16:29:48 +0000 UTCThis week's session was a bit of a rough one - I wrote several ideas and wasn't really vibing with much until the very end. After some rough arrangement and extra layers I ended up with what you hear here.
After writing, I wasn't satisfied with this idea. I didn't think it had much promise and felt like the lead melody was too repetitive. But listening back this morning, it's actually pretty good! Funny how that works...
I'm still worried that it's a bit too basic. Maybe a minimal vocal would help with that? Or maybe a B section in the break... And I'm still not entirely sold on the lead melody and instrument. Despite those things, I can see myself returning to finish this at some point.
What do you think? - Is this something you'd like to see me finish? And would you like more of these kinds of ideas?
Next week, I'll be focusing on something on the sadder and more emotional side since the ideas this month have ended up a bit more uplifting than I intended. As always, thank you for your support!

This is a really nice chill progressive sound. I'd love to see this finished. Maybe vocals, even if something canned.

It may take some work but I think in the end it will sound wonderful! -Jenn i like the overall feel of it, but if i may make a suggestion? the blips that come in at about the 1 minute mark, they seem a bit too "bright" and sort of overpower things. maybe bring those down just a touch, and add a slight reverb to it. dunno, just spitballing! haha -Josh
