Aug 17 - Reaching
Added 2022-08-18 14:01:04 +0000 UTCThis week I'm back with another progressive house idea and I'm much happier with the result of this week's session. This idea certainly isn't as complete as last week's idea, but this is what I envisioned coming out of these sessions in my mind when I was considering returning to write more ideas in this genre.
Overall, the bulk of a "song idea" is here, but the only real part that's fleshed out is the drop and even that is barebones. That said, it's enough for me to evaluate where this is worth returning to which is really the point of these initial sessions.
I was going for a sadder, more intense vibe on this one and I do like how it turned out. As is, the intro chords would be extended into a verse with more layers and drums, and the transition into the break/build would be a lot less abrupt. And of course - a lot more FX and layers on everything.
I can see myself returning to this idea, but I wouldn't rank it super high priority for me to revisit. But what do you think? Is this something you want to see me finish? - let me know here or on Discord!
