June 22 - Depths
Added 2022-06-23 16:24:14 +0000 UTCThis week, I'm back at it with some more progressive house ideas. I wanted to start with a clean slate so I wrote some chords and put together a basic drum groove. A chill, laid back direction felt most natural but I didn't like the original chords I wrote, so I went back and wrote something new that I enjoyed a bit more. After some work on layers and a basic arrangement, I ended up with the version you hear above.
I have been really enjoying writing this style recently (melodic house, I guess?) - and I do like this idea, but I'm not sure it's high up on my list of projects to return to.
What do you think? Is this an idea you'd like me to finish? Let me know :)
