2021 Patreon Update & Adjustments to Benefits!

Hey everyone!

Today I'm announcing exciting adjustments to the Patreon tiers - I've been thinking about this for a while now and I'm making these changes with the goal of consolidating some of the repetitive benefits and adding value to all the tiers. These changes will go into effect on November 1 (Monday).

Additionally, I am enabling an annual subscription option with a 10% discount. This will be available on October 31 (Sunday) in the event you want to update before November is processed.

Here are the changes with a short description of my reasoning behind each:

Listener Tier ($2)

• Will continue to receive early downloads of all releases (including 39 previous Patreon releases) - if you believe in what I'm doing and just want to support me, this is the tier for you.

Music Producer Tier ($5)

• Will now receive WIP downloads in addition to WIP previews - I want to consolidate all WIP related benefits into a single tier.
• Includes Listener Tier benefits

ANimal Tier ($15)

• Names will appear in an on-screen ticker during all livestreams (where the donations ticker used to be) starting Nov 3 - I want to ensure the ANimal Tier gets recognition on streams in addition to YouTube videos.
• Receives extra versions of all releases moving forward. This includes instrumentals, extended mixes, and any variations/originals that are different from release the version - I want to give ANimals access to all versions of a song.
• Gets access to exclusive Patreon merchandise 2 times a year (Spring/Fall). In order to qualify, you need to be an ANimal tier subscriber for at least 3 months before merch is ordered - I think this will be a great way to get some cool, unique, high-quality merch out to you and have it be manageable for me to design, order, & ship it.
• Includes Music Producer Tier benefits

Creative Crew Tier ($50)

• Gets immediate access to exclusive Patreon merch, regardless of how long you've been subscribed.
• Gets access to a weekly VIP Discord chat/hangout where you can give feedback on music I'm working on and just hang out together after stream - These hangouts replace the feedback streams and you can decide to make it to one after stream if you're free.
• Gets early previews/downloads of finalized upcoming songs/EPs/albums weeks or months ahead of time - I sometimes finish a song and wait to release it. This might be because I'm submitting to labels, waiting for a self-release, or I might decide it's not worth releasing in the end. But once it's finished, you get to download it.
• Includes ANimal Tier benefits

Executive Producer Tier ($100)

• Gets customized executive producer merch during each Patreon merch Run. Your name, screen name, or tier will appear on merch, where appropriate - I want to give Executive Producers a unique version of merch that is befitting of the highest tier of support.
• Includes all other benefits

All tiers will continue to receive their current benefits, unless otherwise stated above.

About Merch:

Over the last few years I've been searching for a way to do merch that's manageable. In the past I've placed bulk orders in order to make it worthwhile (like 1000s of CDs or 100s of shirts). While this guaranteed that I broke even in the long run, the challenge was storage and time commitment.  I dialed merch back around 2014/2015 because it became unmanageable.

I've always wanted to do some cool merch that's higher quality and that's what we're going to do here. This means items like embroidered hats, high quality hoodies, jerseys, vinyl, etc. I'm going to start off doing these twice a year - the first run of merch will be early spring next year (March/April). 

As we approach the merch runs, I'm going to have Patreon vote on items and designs, when appropriate. As mentioned above, Executive Producers will also get custom versions of the item each time we do a merch run.
