December Poll - New Project (Genre)

Hi Everyone,

This month we're going to have a few polls honing in on what type of song I will write in Jan/Feb. Each week or so, I'll be posting a poll with some various options like Genre, Theme, and Instrumentation. And I'll be writing this next month and releasing it here on Patreon.

This week, let's decide what type of genre the song will be. I've given a few examples of previous releases to help make it clearer the specific sound I'd be going for within each genre.

Full transparency here on other WIPs - I've been revisiting the few projects you voted for me to finish from earlier this year (I think there's only 2-3 left). Each time I've hit a wall and don't know what to do to bring them to a level of quality that I'm happy with. I've been struggling with how to do the polls moving forward (hence the remixes), without overburdening myself with projects I don't know how to complete.

Creativity can be a funny thing and sometimes it just doesn't "work" on a specific project. Usually I shelve these projects for another time or repurpose them for something else and while repurposing them worked for a few of the other Patreon Projects this year, the few I have left just haven't. I will finish them, but it might take me a bit.

Next year, I'm going to re-evaluate what I deliver to you on Patreon and look at areas I can do better and get everyone more involved on a more regular basis while making sure it's worked well into my schedule. It might be best to rotate the types of polls we do each month (sometimes vote on WIPs, sometimes a remix, sometimes this type of poll, sometimes something else), or even to have smaller, more incremental polls. But for now, I think this is a good solution so I'm excited to see how it plays out!
