It’s all very in character and fairly true to the book. Rhea is noted to die from a horse fall, her skull was crushed, people have speculated that Daemon had something to do with it for years. I personally thought that there was poison involved as in the book she died about a week later. There’s some more “suspicious” deaths coming up that I can’t wait to see how they play out. Of course Daemon comes back for the wedding, and of course Viserys just lets him, that’s completely in character for both of them. And Criston didn’t “go mad” those were his true colours coming through. He keeps banging on about his “honour” but that’s just how he wants to see himself, not how he actually is. Look at him in Ep1, attacking Daemon from behind, which as we saw with Howland Reed & Arthur Dayne, is actually a really dishonourable thing to do. I may have book bias, but I actively dislike Criston Cole, but I’m very much looking forward to him being a prick in the future lol

Rhea conveniently falling off her horse, Daemon waltzing back into the red keep for the wedding as if his brother didn't banish him last episode, Criston going mad faster than Daenerys in season 8 cause this one guy teased him slightly...
