The Void (Ugly Truth)

((Y/N)'s POV)

I slowly woke up to see Maddie and Nicole were still sleeping by my side and they just felt so warm and cozy, but I wanted some water, so I hopped over the back of the couch and went to the kitchen and got a cup of nice cold water. My tongue felt like sandpaper or something on the first few sips, but it got better. When I was done, I just put the cup back on the counter and got a banana for a little snack before I went back to the living room, but when I got there, someone new was on the floor and just getting up. I couldn't tell at first, but they were coughing and holding their throat, so it might hurt them. They must be just like Nicole and Maddie. I wanted to help them, so I went to the kitchen to get more water for them and went back to them.

(Y/N)-Here, take this water.

They searched for the cup without even looking and I helped her find it by handing it to her. She drank the whole cup super fast before she stood up still looking a little dizzy... I knew who it was now, but I don't know her name.

She looked a lot more different than she did in the she then when she looked at me, she looked scared before she looked around.

Dexter's mom-AAAAHHHHHH!!!

This woke up the others and even made them jump a little out of the couch bed. They saw her and Maddie sprung out of bed to get in front of me in a fighting stance. Dexter's mom just backed up and tripped over herself to fall on her butt. I have to do something before someone gets hurt, so I got in the middle of them.

(Y/N)-Wait, stop! She's just like you!

Dexter's mom-Who are you people?! Where am I?! Where's my family?!

Nicole pulled me out from the middle of them before Dexter's mom tried to crawl away while breathing faster and faster until... she went limp on the floor.

(Timeskip 10 Minutes)

(Mom's POV)

My head hurt after I just had the craziest dream of my life. Just the way everything looked alone made it a horror movie like experience, but at least it was over and I can open my eyes to see my husband... However, when I opened my eyes I only saw that I was back in this nightmare. I was on a weird looking couch under a weird looking blanket that I threw off before I saw the kid come in again. He had (H/L) (H/C) hair, (E/C) eyes, and (S/C) skin, but matching the odd texture of where I am.

???-Please don't freak out! It's not our fault your here!... We won't hurt you.

Mom-Who are you?

???-M-My name is (Y/N)... I never got your name from-... I just never got your name.

He was about to say something else. I don't know what, but I didn't have time for that when I needed to focus on getting out of here and getting home. My heart raced as he came closer to me.

Mom-... Well... people call me Mom.

(Y/N)-... Really?... Anyway, we're making breakfast, and I told the others I would tell you this.

Mom-Tell me what?

He started by telling a crazy story with a storm and how that blue cat person named 'Nicole' then next was a ghost hunter named 'Maddie' that lost their homes too. My heart sank when he phrased it like that and I just hope he said said something the wrong way.

Mom-Kid... I am not playing games. Let me speak to an adult. Where's your parents or guardians?

(Y/N)-Well... My dad isn't home a lot, so it's just Nicole and Maddie here.

Mom-How do I get home?

(Y/N)-Um... Well... You see... Um... I might not... know how.

My whole world just shattered when he said those words, so I tried to go off of what I could remember before waking up here... Ok, I was cleaning the living room after the kids left for school and my husband had the day off, so after I was done cleaning we were going to do something together. Suddenly there was a bit of an earth quake, so I sent my husband to go get the kids after it was over, but while he was gone it happened again... Come to think of it, I don't think it was an earth quake because the house started to fall apart in a way that made it look like it was turning into little blocks. When a hole opened in the floor I ran out of the house screaming to see others doing it too until more holes or maybe even portals leading to a world of static started appearing in the streets. Police told us to go to the mall for shelter, but on my way... the ground collapsed under my feet and I fell through. There were things floating in the static world before... before... I fell asleep and ended up here. If I fell through and if those holes got bigger and bigger then...

Mom-Dexter, Deedee, honey!

When I said that, he looked at me like I was some wounded animal then rubbed his head. When I looked around I noticed something on the T.V... IT WAS PICTURES OF MY SON AND FAMILY!!!

Mom-Young man! Were you spying on me and my family?!

(Y/N)-No!... I mean... Maybe... Technically?

Mom-I want to speak with an adult here, right this instant!

(Y/N)-It's just Maddie and Nicole, I swear!

Mom-And what is this stuff on this T.V.?!

(Y/N)-Wait, don't!

I ignored him and grabbed the remote to press ok on one of the videos and it loaded something and that's when I saw something that blew my mind.

My mouth hung open and (Y/N) tried to take the remote from me, but I kept it and soon an 'episode' started to show my son with some robot parrot that I remembered a bit about for some reason... What don't I remember something like that?

(Y/N)-Please, you don't wanna watch this!

I brushed it off and for the next 5 minutes I saw the parrot repeating stuff others said and it ruined cake. By the end of the episode, what my daughter said and what I guess my son did... I felt sick to my stomach.

Mom's mind-MY SON HAS A SECRET AND WIPED OUR MEMORIES?!?!?! HOW WAS MY DAUGHTER OK WITH THIS?!?!?! Wait, again?... HOW MANY TIMES DID HE WIPE MY MEMORY?!?!?!

More episodes were about to come on, but in the shock that made me lose feeling in my knees gave him the chance to take the remote and exit the episode only to show more... a lot more.

Mom's mind-Dexter?

I knew my boy was a genius in school and had a perfect 4.0 GPA with ease, but this... What little I found out... I was gonna get sick knowing my son did such a thing to me... What else did he do or what else happened.

Mom-... Give me the remote back.

(Y/N)-B-But-.

I took the remote from him and I heard someone calling him for breakfast, but tried to take the remote from me again until I held it out of his reach. That's one one of the cat lady came in.

Nicole-Sweetie, breakfast is done and I heard your belly growl earlier.

(Y/N)-What about her?

Nicole-Um... I don't think she'll be too hungry. This is something she might be better off seeing sooner rather than later.

((Y/N)'s POV)

I didn't think this was a good idea to leave here there, but Nicole kept me on her lap since I only had 2 chairs out at the table right now. She even tried to feed me while Maddie watched. The cuddling last night was nice, but this felt embarrassing.

(Y/N)-I can feed myself.

Nicole-Oh... If you say so.

She stopped, but kept me on her lap while she ate her food. I could not stop thinking about Dexter's mom watching her own show after what happened to Nicole and Maddie, but I guess she will have to find sooner or later... Does she have to know right now though? It just sounds like a lot to take in and we even flipped the locks, and glued the windows to keep her inside. When I finished my pancakes Maddie made, I went back out with the others to see Dexter's mom curled up on the couch.

An episode was playing and in this episode Dexter was using a hypno-pen on his family. It doesn't look bad, but I think she sees it as her son basically experimented on her a lot.

(Y/N)-Ms. Dexter's mom, I'm just gonna turn the show off and-.

Dexter's Mom-He shrunk his own mom and dad down and put them in the house he shrunk to observe them... Like animals. He even turned us into babies then the next episode played it off like we were still a happy family... After what he did. Even my own daughter knew and helped him.

Nicole-... Let's just turn the T.V. off.

She did turn off the T.V. and Dexter's mom looked like she was about to cry or at least tears were coming out of her eyes in silence... I should get in the shower right now, but... I just got on the couch and sat next to her and Maddie joined us.

(Nicole's POV)

I thought my family had issues, but hers is a whole new level. The most my kids did was have a secret competition between moms that I knew of after we were almost crushed and stuff. The others were trying to help her, but right now I don't think (Y/N) is gonna make her feel much better even if he means well.

Nicole-(Y/N), go take a shower. I'll get in after you. We just need to have an adult talk.

(Y/N)-Oh... Ok.

He did what I said and when he left, I took a seat in the chair closest to the new girl that I over heard call herself 'Mom'. We tried to explain to her a few basic things like how his dad is barely around, he doesn't have a mom, and we can't leave this house or be seen by the public. Last part really bothered her.

Mom-I think... I'm going to get sick.

Maddie-If it makes you feel better, we're still new to it too.

Mom-I... I still love my kids and family, but... What my own children did and kept from me... How do I deal with that?!

Maddie-Well my son is half ghost after a portal my husband and I built wasn't on until he turned it on... from the inside. Then my husband and I tried to capture him without know it was him... We even did catch him a few times... Well, I did.

Nicole-And my kids... Well, what didn't they do? We just need to stay here and be patient. Play things by ear.

Maddie-(Y/N) is actually really sweet. You can even come see what he gave us last night.

(Timeskip 15 Minutes)

((Y/N)'s POV)

I just got out of the shower and got dressed. Since I can't leave the house and the cartoon girls alone right now, I decided to just play some video games on the T.V. in the living room. Nicole got in the shower in the hallway, Maddie is using the shower in my dad's room and Dexter's mom is waiting her turn. Speaking of which, she just came out here and sat next to me, so I paused my game.

Dexter's Mom-Wow, video games look more... life like here. It was (Y/N), right?

(Y/N)-Yes... Are you feeling ok, after... you know?

Dexter's Mom-I'm... fine. Maddie and Nicole showed me you gave them pictures of their families.

(Y/N)-Oh, I can go print one right now!

Dexter's Mom-Wait!... Actually, we can wait on that until I settle in a little.

(Y/N)-Of course... You wanna try and play. This game is 2 player and I have 3 more controllers.

Dexter's Mom-If it's the same. I'll watch.

(Mom's POV)

I needed to get my mind away from some things and I do still love my family, but my kids... I just need to let it sink in for a bit. I just watched him play and thought about the thoughtful gifts he made and was even about to put down what he was doing for me. He is a sweet boy, but I don't think getting attached is a good idea when we might find a way home soon... If only my son were here, he could find a way for us to get him...

Mom's mind-WHERE I CAN GROUND HIM AND DEEDEE FOR EVERYTHING THEY DID!!!... Woah. Where did that come from?

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw the game progress to a new level or something. He soon stopped the game to go get some water then came back with another cup for me and a bowl of grapes.

(Y/N)-I thought you might be thirsty and hungry. I can even show you more shows later or maybe show you more places around the house. I know you like cooking.

Mom-A tour and something else to watch sounds like a nice way to relax.

(Y/N)-Awesome, let's go. I'll start with the kitchen and basement before we go to the other rooms. You can take a free guest room while you're here.

He took me by the hand and it looked so different, but at the same time it felt warm. He showed me everything and his kitchen looked very nice... It could use a deep cleaning to really make it shine, but it looked nicer than my old kitchen. He showed me around the house some more then even showed me his room and toys he had. Soon Maddie came in wearing a jumpsuit then picked up (Y/N).

Maddie-The shower in the master bedroom is free. It even has a bath if you want to soak.

A nice soak in a bubble bath did sound like heaven right now, so I went to got take a shower then soak in a bath while I think things over. I was lucky that (Y/N) kept bath bubble soap in here and this thing said a lot more than just 'Soap'. These are men products, so we need to get some for women somehow. We can't just a little boy out shopping. By the time I was clean and filled up the bath with soap and water, I could feel some of my stress melting away then started to hear (Y/N) laughing out in the halls even with this door closed... He sounded cute.

(Flashback Start)

My family and I are in a park on Dexter's 3rd birthday and he loved playing on the swings while Deedee played catch with her dad. When I was done pushing Dexter and took him out of the baby swing I ran my fingers under his arms to make him laugh and my heart fluttered. My baby boy was turning 3.

Dexter-*Laughing* Mama!

Mom-That's right my little man, it's mama!

(Flashback End)

His laughter echoed in my head and I tried to decided if it was all just a fake lie for a show or if he really treated me, his own mother, like a science project.

Mom's mind-Dexter... Why? Was science that important to you that you even experiment on your own family?

((Y/N)'s POV)

Maddie was blowing into my tummy which tickled a lot and she did again and again while Nicole put my head on her soft and fuzzy lap. I begged her to stop, but she kept on going until I was tired the she and Nicole just gave me kisses until they left me alone on my bed. I wanted to get back to my game, so I went to the living room since the girls were in there rooms and Dexter's mom was still in the bathroom. I pressed start, but something weird happened... I was back at the menu in USB.

(Y/N)-Huh?

I checked under me and saw I sat on the remote on accident. I quickly paused the game off screen and was about to head back, but something got a hold of me... I didn't watch every episode of their shows...

(Y/N)'s mind-A few episodes to get to know them couldn't hurt.

Just before I could click on one of the 3 shows I saw Dexter's mom walk in wearing a robe and I panicked because I could see her show on the screen, so I scrolled to the side until it was gone.

Dexter's Mom-Hey there.

(Y/N)-You're looking a little better.

Dexter's mom-I don't know how long it's been since I had a bath, but it felt so nice and gave me time to think. I was hoping we could talk a little... Just small talk.

(Y/N)-Oh. I was just about to watch... The Secret Saturdays if you want to join.

I just clicked on the show and it was that same static screen like it does sometimes.

Dexter's Mom-Actually, I was hoping to step outside for a bit. Just on the porch. I saw a tent with blinds out there... I just need some fresh air.

(Y/N)-Well... Ok, but you have to promise to stay on the porch and I put the tent up first. Also be ready to hide or something in case the mail man comes.

Dexter's Mom-I promise.

(No POV)

(Y/N) took the key they hid inside his dad's room to unlock the door to go outside since they flipped the locks earlier. He put the blinds down before Dexter's Mom stepped outside on the porch looking happy as she took a deep breath. They both sat at the table and talked about kids things or about (Y/N)'s world. Mom felt her heart beating first as she got lost in (Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes then looked out into the ocean through the blinds she could mostly see out of. As (Y/N) went on about other movies and things he liked to do, Mom got lost in her own mind.

Mom's mind-Such a sweet boy. This world still looks weird to me, but he clearly wants to help.

Earlier she even checked for a secret lab just in case, but only came up with a secret journal of (D/N)'s journey on his job years ago. She didn't open it now, but put it in her new room to read another day. She started to feel more at ease by the second.

Mom's mind-I can just see it in your eyes... you would never hurt anyone. You would never hurt 'me'. ~

Meanwhile inside the T.V. glowed brighter and someone was coming through the screen slowly, but the first thing to come out was a sword then a woman with white hair.

*Thud*

Maddie-Hm?

(Maddie's POV)

I heard something down the hall since my door was open while I was polishing the weapons I do have in my pouch, somewhat hoping (Y/N) would walk by and take interest... and what kid wouldn't. Anyway, I went out to see what made that, and when I entered the hallway, I already saw someone lying next to the T.V. and they had a weapon next to them. If they wake up and freak out, they can't be able to have that weapon, so I ran in and quickly grabbed the weapon to see it was a sword. I looked down to the woman and flipped her over to see her face still unconscious.

Maddie's mind-Who are you?

I looked out to see (Y/N) and 'Mom' outside on the porch with the curtains closed and I can show (Y/N) this later, but i'll just get her to the dad's room and get her in a bed.

I'll have my weapons ready in case she tries anything. Carrying her was a chore until Nicole opened her door and was surprised to see what I was doing.

Nicole-Another one?!

Maddie-Just help me carry her to the dad's bed!

She did what I asked and we put her down and just in time too because she is starting to wake up and open her eyes.

???-*Groan* My head... What... the.

She passed out again and we just closed the door to keep this from the others for now.

(Drew's POV)

What I saw just looked so blurry, but I felt I was on something soft which was weird because I was in a jungle until... It's all fuzzy right now. A few last things hit my mind before I really passed out.

Drew's mind-Is Zak Ok? What happened?... Where am I?
