January questions submission
Added 2016-01-06 15:34:34 +0000 UTCApologies for the lateness of this post. Christmas and new years has been busy.
Post any questions you might have here and i'll answer them in the next Q&A video. If you prefer just a direct write up of the answer here and not in the video, let me know.
I'm going to try something a bit different this month and also have a suggested Q&A topic: Poisons. But you can still ask any topic or question you want. And suggest any new topics for next month. We'll see how this goes.
Take care, I hope 2016 is a good year for us.

Thank you for the oxygen concentrator suggestion, I found one locally for 300$CAD, at 2L/min for 93% purity and 300 watts it will only cost 1.44$ to produce the 244 cubic foot that costs me 40$. I'll break even on the tank rental fees alone in 4 years.

2016-01-06 22:32:57 +0000 UTCWhy did you end up working with inorganic chemistry? What is something about organic chemistry that you don't like working with? Can you explain why does this divide exists among chemists?

2016-01-06 19:50:01 +0000 UTCYou know that thing where lithium reacts with anhydrous liquid ammonia to generate those really pretty solvated electrons? Is it possible to drain those electrons off as a power source?

2016-01-06 16:04:26 +0000 UTCThis first part doesn't need to be included in a video: I hope you've had a really awesome Christmas and New year! :) (and apparently Patreon's text edit comment box is completely broken as all frig.) [edit: deleting the second part because I found the answer]
