Archive link change
Added 2025-09-10 12:46:40 +0000 UTCWhat
I’m changing how the archive links work. First of all Im combining everything into one link.
Second, when you click the archive link in the post, you’ll be asked to authenticate with Patreon. You can read more about how this works in this post. If you’re an active patron, a one-hour limited link will be generated for you, and you’ll be redirected to Dropbox.
No more expired links. Easy peasy!

Why
First of all, for easier access. I kept forgetting to update the links, and people had trouble finding the archive. Now I’ll be able to pin the post and direct patrons more easily.
It’s also to fight automatic scraping of archive links. And yes, I know piracy is unavoidable, but that doesn’t mean I should make it easier for them - or stop fighting for your rights.
With this new tool, everything will be automated, and only the right people will have access.
When
The new link is live.
You can find it in the Collections / Info folder.
I’ll keep the old way of accessing the archive for a little while, just in case. But I really encourage you to use the authorization link - I want to make sure it works for everyone.
After that, the archive will only be accessible through the oAuth tool.
I plan more changes on how archive work and structured in the future, so stay tuned!
Comments
I totally understand your concern and reasons. Important to note that I as creator already have access to all the data listed above and more. I'll check if I can reduce the scope even further. I want to make more exclusives and provide people that support we with value they deserve. If my exclusive content can be easily accessed outside of Patreon it's devalueting my effort.

I understand piracy is bad (for both you and your paying patreons) but i am not interested to give out more data then necessary and archive links so far have been rather convienient to use. Thats definetly not fighting for patreons rights.
