Alien enhancements, working title: "Sixam Attacks!"
It's always bothered me how Aliens in Sims 4 don't seem to know how to get home when you're playing them. Then you go play a scientist or astronaut sim, go to Sixam, and there's Nancy Landgraab, who previously had no way to return to Sixam when I played them.
If I had access to a UFO, I'd use it all the time. So the mod gives Aliens access to their own personal UFO that will come beam them up to travel to Sixam. They can also call for a pickup to travel to another lot in style. And to top it off, Aliens can 'request a sample pickup' that allows them to choose a whole number of sims that a small fleet of UFOs will come to abduct. This is no end of fun on Batuu, let me tell you.
Finally, I give them the ability to teleport using a technological themed teleport effect inspired by a mod by the now retired modder coolspear. I've been tinkering with giving them some other effects as well. It seems like they should have some special relationship with the goings on in Strangerville, for example.
Some sort of related Alien-only aspiration might also be in the cards as part of this.
Soup Line/Automatic Cafeteria Line/Homeless Shelter Mod
I like to use some of LittleMsSams auto-employees mods, but they don't work on the Cafeteria Line from University. I'm a fan of Rags-to-Riches challenges, and I wanted to create a 'homeless shelter' lot that had a cafeteria line available. I'd like to find a way to bring the homeless Sims of the region in to eat, and preferably sleep, shower, etc. So this might end up being more than one mod, but I'm working on the cafeteria part at the moment.
New Spells
I've been tinkering with the widely used, but apparently abandoned, R3M Spellbook Injector, and have a working replacement script that doesn't throw errors when loading spells, causing it to partially fail on Macs, and removes the code that tries to add the spellbook to the Magic Realm tome vendor.
I did this because I wanted to write some new spells, like Lightning Strike. I've been testing Spider Climb (temporary maxes out rock climbing), and Bless (like the Omiscan blessing).
I've been digging for a way to do Magic Missile. There's an effect during duels that looks just like how I'd imagine it to look, and there are new injury buffs from Snowy Escape to use as effects.
Another one that I've been tinkering with is Leosims Tiny Hut. It would create a temporary spectral tent that fills your energy, bladder, and hygiene needs as you sleep. Then fade away the next morning.
Archaeology Kit Related Mission-Type Career
I'd like to come up with a way to get assignments to go retrieve various artifacts and relics from different parts of the Sim's worlds. It seems like this would be a rich soil to develop a lot of story lines. In case it hasn't been obvious yet, I am using The Librarian movies and TV series as an inspiration for this idea.
Currently, I am doing both proof-of-concept tests (not working yet...) and developing some sort of workflow to be able to manage all the details something like this would involve. If I do all that work, I'd want it to be kind of cool.
I make Sims mods primarily for my own enjoyment. I share them when I think other people might enjoy them as well.
